Sanctioning Countries

No I don't support sanctions simply because the only ones who are going to suffer are innocent civilians. Anyone remember when sanctions against Iraq came into effect, what a mess they made with civilians unable to get medicines and food? I can accept sanctions aimed at curbing money-laundering and taxing luxury goods which seems to be the case for North Korea, but they still have to be fully implemented....which makes me wonder why we keep paying diplomats at the UN.
