What is the absolute best commercial dog food to feed your dog?

I have five beautiful dogs. The youngest is 5 years old and the oldest just turned 10. I have been feeding them Nutro Natural Choice, Chicken meal, rice and oatmeal for several years now. They've been doing real good on it.
I've been recently concerned with the wholesomeness of the food. I know there are tons of different brands out there all advertising their brand being the best; it is so hard to decide what is the best to feed them.
Any experts or vets here??
I want something wholesome, natural ingredients, healthy, antioxidants, vitamins, minerals, everything they could possibly need to be healthy and happy.
I was tempted to go towards Iams Healthy Naturals but I've now heard that since Proctor and Gamble took it over, that they changed the recipes and that it's not any good anymore.
So, I'm torn. I want the best for my pups as they are like my kids. I will not buy them some cheap supermarket brand like Ole Roy.
Can anyone offer me the best brand to buy for my kids?
Thanks!
Char :-)

i too sugest you to stay away with nutro products because i have een facing problems. you shouldnot change their feed because from so long they have been using same feed and now if you change it suddenly. it wilkl affect their health and tthey may suffer from diseases .
also if you change feed it may not suit them. well you are lucky to get 5 dogs. have good day and happy earning

Thanks for your input. I realilze you shouldn't change dog food all the time. It hurts their tummys..but my pups have been on this for several years and I know if I decide to change I must do it very gradually. Like for the first 3 days only put 1/4 new, 3/4 old.. and then for the next 3 days you use 1/2 new and 1/2 old, and then for the next 3 days you use 3/4 new and 14 old. Then finally you can use the full new.
I still haven't decide if and what to change to and I'm waiting for other responses, but thank you for how you feel about Nutro.
Thanks!
Char

I say stay with the Nutro products! There is a different formula for your dog as your dog ages. I stay away from anything with corn products in it since this can be the number one ingredient that causes allergies. I went to a lower priced brand and now my dog is having skin problems, itching. He does not have fleas or rashes, he just scratches. I am putting him back on Nutro and I prefer the one that you are using with Oatmeal in it. If you read the ingredients on the backs of the bags you will see that Nutro is still better and does not have fillers in it. Your dog is getting the most out of his food and the fecal output is less. That means your dog is benefiting and you have it easier when it is time to clean the yard.
Definitely Nutro!!!
