how can you say that you are a good friend???

i know i have lots of friends...but there are times that these friends hate me...i don't know why...i can say that i am a good friend to them...i really help them as long as i could...i am always there if they need me...but not all time actually...but i still comfort them when we are together..does helping a friend can make you say and feel that you are a good friend to him or her???

you don't have to worry if some of your friends hates you... as long as you know you don't do anything bad for them... being a good friend is not you need to hear anything good from them, but wat you do good for them...
