The Party Was........

A Success!!!! There were no children but it was one of the best birthdays my son has ever had! I had quite the stressful week-end as our phone went dead sometime Friday night and so all day Saturday no one could get through to RSVP to the Invite if they wanted to and I was so upset about this!!! Then, It started raining around 11:30 on the day of the party and so we had to change the location and with none of the children's numbers or last names we had no way of contacting any of them! All this aside, we moved the party to Burger King where they have a play land and it really did work out for the best! He had his whole family there except for my Mom and he had his Therapist drop in to spend some time with him as well and it really was great! He was so excited he did not eat much but opened his gifts and played with the children who were there and loved all of his presents etc and we all had the chance to spend some time as a family together (Extended - Mine and my husbands family together) and it was great and my boy was so happy and very tired when it was all said and done! So, for all who wanted the update here it is.... Now, to make this a discussion, Have you ever worried about something for nothing? Have you ever found everything to go wrong just to end up having everything go right? Thanks so much to all who have put up with me and supported me through this whole stressful time! ~Heavens~

I wish I had been there for you the last week heavens but I am so pleased that all went well and that your gorgeous son had a great time! Very often the things we stress over most and worry about going wrong are the very things that are the best we could hope for and I am glad that this was one of those times! xx

I have just typed a long reply only to be asked for my password again and losing my reply. Whew! Well, I was saying that it was good you were able to think fast and make things turn out well. There might be no children his age but I'm sure your son enjoyed it the same. I think that with kids it doesn't matter if their playmates attend to their birthday party. It's the celebration, gifts, and attention from love ones that count most. As far as I can remember this was how I felt when I had birthdays as a kid. I don't remember any particular occassion where I started off wrong and ended up right. Probably there was but it was not as memorable or significant as your son's birthday. I should try to recollect.
