If I want to climb a mountain ,what things should I carry ?

I want to climb a mountain , what things should I carry ? The mountain that I will climb is Fansipan ,top of vietnam ,at 3143 metres above water level ,has no snow or ice ,but it's rain and wet .All the trip is about 3 days in wet jungles and high rocks .

If I was climbing that mountain,I would take a weeks worth of food and water,because you never know whats going to happen,I would take a heavy rain jacket,to help against the rain,I would also take some sort of weapon,like a pistol or a knife,incase I ran into some carniverous creature,and I would take lots and lots of rope.

I have never gotten a chance to climb a mountian, so i wouldent know.
My best guess would be to bring a guide, tent ( if you are staying long) , provessions, rock climbing gear, and any other supplies you might want ( like a camera).
Whatever you do, come back and tell us all here so we can enjoy it to.
