Okay you guys you have proven time and time again how wonderful you are when we all stick together and pray for, think of and send positive energy to people and I really need you all to pull together again. Many of you know that I live across the road from weemam and that her family and mine have adopted each other, well I have just had a visit from her son Ross who has let me know that she is in agony and has had to have a doctor visit as she has trapped a nerve in her back and he asked me to let you guys know but I want to go one better than that - I want us all to think of this wonderful, caring woman and pray (or whatever you feel comfortable enough to do ) that she feels much better really quickly. If you know weemam you will already know that she is one of the warmest, most caring and adorable women it could ever be your good fortune to meet and if you don't know her then please believe me when I tell you that she is an angel in human form. I haven't spoken to her yet as she is sleeping but I will be speaking ot her at some point today and I will let you know if there are any changes! Thank you for any thing you can do, Hugs xxxx

I certainly believe that prayer works mjdoodlebug! i wish there was more I could do for her as she is normally always doing things for us but at least the pain meds and rest are starting to help her pain - if only she could find it easier to rest!
Welcome to mylot and I hope you have a great time here! xxx

I hope she's feeling better and the pain medication is working. Trapped nerves are awful, they cause one of the worst pains I know and it's frustrating when you can't do anything. It's also hard to accept that for once you are the one who needs care. She'll be worrying about her parents, and feeling she's letting them down, I bet!
I'll be thinking of her and sending healing energy during my meditation.

That is amazing Erilyn and I know it must have taken a lot of strength to get through that! I had surgery last April for a ruptured disc - I would have ended up in a wheelchair if I hadn't had the surgery as my nerve was so badly damaged but unfortunately my mobility and independance are very limited and I cannot do a lot of physical therapy so I have to be patient and do as much as I can without overdoing it as I get worse if I do. Weemam knows all that so she will be very , very careful. After speaking to her again today it sounds more as though it is a muscular injury so we are hopeful that with painkillers and some rest she will be back on top form soon! Hugs xxx

You are more than welcome hun, I have thus far avoided surgery on my back, with the help of some intense physical therapy. I still have pain everyday but I deal with it a lot better now, and I have almost all my mobility back. So if they tell her to have surgery I would suggest finding an in depth physical therapy program first. I hated those people at the end of my first week there but by the end of the second week I could walk normally again, I was up to walking 3 miles on the treadmill, I could do all the streches without it hurting too badly. Let her know that no matter how bad it is there is light at the end of the tunnel and don't let her do anything without checking out all her options first!

Of course I will be praying for weemam and sending positive thoughts her way, mummymo! She seems to be such a dear woman that I don't doubt how wonderful she is. If my wishes could make it so she would already be back at the top of her game. I will be thinking of her and picturing her back to full health.

Thanks so much my dear friend! She really is an amazing woman and I hate to think of her in pain but if there is a silver lining to this dark cloud it is that she is having to take a break from looking after everyone else and rest up! She is feeling better today between resting and pain medication and I pray it continues that way! I totally believe that everyone pulling together this way can only help! Hugs xxx

Hi mummymo,
It's good to see you here, but am so sorry that you had to start this discussion because of weemam's back condition. I am glad to see that you're back from your holiday, and will have to catch up with those topics of your's later. We're still here at my sister's until late Sunday.
I am so sorry to hear about dear weemam, and am very concerned for her. Please let her know that she's in my thoughts and prayers, and that I trust she'll be back to herself again in no time. Tell her also to rest, even though it's hard for her.
Love and hugs to both of you. xxx

Hi friend,
Well I am not big into prayer, but if you think it would help, by all means, I am there for your friend. She sounds wonderful. You know things like this always seem to happen to the best people, don't they?
God love her and be with her in this time of pain and need.
I will pray very hard for her.
Thanks
Cheryl

mummymo, I am so sorry to hear your friend is in such pain and agony. I don't respond very much on mylot, but when something touches me, I do. I just said a prayer for her. I also prayed for you because you are obviously a very special and caring person yourself to care enough about this friend to ask for prayers for her. God bless you and please keep us informed as to how she is doing.

Hi Mummymo, consider it done even though I know I'm late...it can't hurt. Poor Margaret. How lucky you are to be so close to one another...you and yours and Wee and her family are my two most favourite families...you are both very special. I'm sending you all big, big hugs (and a special ticklish cuddle to Niamh)

Hello My Sweet
I can almost bet that Sis is beside
herself because she isn't able to do
for others. I know her parents depend on her
and I'm sure she is worried about them.
Please Darling let her know that as always she is
in my prayers along with her entire family.
I so wish I could be close enough to bring in
dinner.

Mom it is so good to hear from you! Ross is helping his Grandparents and she knows that we - well David- will do anything he can to help so it isn't as bad as it could have been! I would love to take her dinner but she eats no carbohydrates now (she has lost over a stone) and I am at a loss! I think that Faither and Ross will do everything they can though as they adore her and were really worried about her earlier! Love to you- always xxxx

At the end of last year, I had such terrible back pain that I felt like I was going to lose my mind. It was so awful. I was in the hospital twice for it, and they never could really figure out what was wrong, but thought it was a pinched nerve. Finally, the pain just disappeared one day. I sure hope your friend's pain goes away quickly, and with little complications.

Do you think maybe she has a pinched nerve? Does the pain in her back shoot down her leg? I also wonder if it's a sciatic nerve, I think that can effect your back too.
Send her my get well vibes, and also check to make sure she is using a heating pad to help her out too!

Guss sweety we think it is some kind of muscle damage thankfully rather than a nerve problem - her son got a bit mixed up when he was telling me about it! The pain is in her back ( her bottom too but she says that is cos she has never rested so much!) and is getting better! I thank you so much and I will be posting an update soon! xxx
