Have you ever seen a UFO?

And if you have would you like to tell people about it, or would you be worried about ridicule?
Here in UK level-headed helicopter pilots reported the latest ones, which were also seen by soldiers on patrol.
There must be something going on for professional people like this to feel the need to tell their stories.
When I as a teenager walking home down a country lane with my friend one night we were 'buzzed' by a silent, bright light which made several passes over the road and seemed to be shining a searchlight as if it was looking for us.
We hid under some hedges till it had gone but I have never forgotten it and 40 years later it still makes me nervous to think of.
Do you have a similar story?

lol and jesus don't love aliens? So guess not...
bhaaa that's the biggest excuse that i ever saw on the UFO or EXTRA-Terrestrial live discussions.
People are simply not thinking right when it comes to extra-terrestrial live, it can be a simple cell, worm, insect, or anything... but it can exist.
Now the point is... will those entities got intelligence? Can they walk? Can they talk? Can they build spacecrafts or stuff like that to do some light-speed travel?
Well I honestly believe that there are some more life out there in deep space, but i'm not sure it there is one like ours or as developed as we are.. but it's selfish to think that Earth is the only place on the universe to serve as a home for life. Just look at the sky.. see any shiny spot? Well now wave... someone can be watching... or not..(lol)
About that Jesus comment, it's easier to believe in flying saucers than on Jesus.. why? Well i saw a bunch of photos.. (edited or not) about them.. and photos about jesus? Well.. not even one. I'm way to skeptical about that. And don't believe that exist one.. that can save us all... or can take care of us.. We make our own choices in life, our own path, and we are responsible for them. Not Jesus... not anyone.
This is my way to tell you that i don't belive in Jesus, or God or anything like that, there can be someone "up" there.. but he must be on vacations or something or playing ps3 because a lot of crap is happening right now on this very same planet.
My opinion.. don't flame me..

Just reading the comment by ptscam. He says, at the end of his entry, about there not being a god etc.
Well, I think he has got a point ... if there is an 'all loving and caring God', then how can he, or she, allow this Earth to have gotten into such a vile and horrible place. Everywhere you go, you have to be careful. Each time the news is broadcast, something bad has happened, or someone has been murdered.
The Earth is filling up with war - what kind of 'God' would let that happen?

Hi Michael, I have seen these recent reports also and in fact one of them was the army themselves witnessing and also police helicopter pilots too. I also know that 99% can be proven not to be of an alien kind of UFO but what about the other 1% eh! When I lived in Surrey I was parked in Ottershaw which is where H. G. Wells wrote his War of The Worlds and I looked up and saw a very strange object in the sky hovering and as it is fairly near the airport I am used to seeing planes. This was about 9pm not quite dark but not clear but I was convinced it was a UFO, I shared with friends but not with authorities for the ridicule reason, maybe if I had of had a camera and a pic I would have done. I wonder if this is where H. G. Wells got his inspiration from. Ellie :D

What a great thought!
I once had friends who lived in a house with one of those blue plaques on the wall, writer H G Wells lived here etc., apparently when he was doing some of his writing.
He was really ahead of his time, I love his novel The Time Machine and the 60's film.

No, I dont have a story to tell, but it is all very strange what has been going on in our skies over here! I am not sure what to make of it at all, I am not a very big believer in that sort of thing, or perhaps I dont want to believe!
It is hard to doubt it when like you say professionals have reported these sightings and someone even had footage of it, although it is a bit hard to make out. Hmmmm its all very strange.

I've never seen a UFO, but I'm fascinated by the thought of something being out there. Recently, strange lights were seen above our nearest capital city and caused a bit of excitement for a few nights - it was later found that some young people had put firelighters in foil pie pans and attached them to helium balloons, then set them free. Apparently they looked really pretty floating high above the river and glowing. I wish I'd seen them!

I don't really take all that UFO business seriously. Though (as it was said in th UFO Jodie Foster movie) if we are all alone in the universe than it's a real waste of space. But no, I've never seen anything that would in a bit remind me of an UFO that I see on TV. And maybe it's for the better :)

I've seen unusual lights in the sky at night, but wasn't close enough to have any clue as to what they might have been..I can recognise aircraft anticollision lights, searchlights, strobing red fuselage lights,Green/Red navigation lights..none of these were visible to Me,nor was there any evident Engine noise..just a steady glowing Orange colour from about 5 objects moving up and down,slowly..

I have never seen a UFO.But I believe it existent. With the technology improved,we can invent a sort of aerocraft used to travel to the other celestial bodies.May be some other lives which live in other celestial bodies is much more progressive than us.So it's very possible they ever visited us.

I have never seen a UFO sighting but i do want to experience it. I remember on the news a few years back when there was a report on an army jet plane picking up 2 UFOs on their radar and there was actually footage taken of it. I think there could be a possibility of life on other planets.

I believe I have seen them. I saw something in the sky when I was a kid that looked circular and had lights surrounding it. Even though I was very young, I knew it wasn't a plane because of the way the lights were structured. I've also seen other bizarre things that were never explained. I remember my dad actually calling the Air Force to ask about something he saw in the sky that was unexplained and that was over sixty years ago.

Hello there, MichaelJay.
No, I have never seen an UFO in my life. I don't believe in this kind of living being. I respect and find it interesting to know that others believe in this. I only dislike it when people try to FORCE you to believe, telling that we will die if we don't believe and etc.
I wouldn't believe an UFO if I saw one. I'd need to take a clear look at a spaceship to start believing in this, because for me there is no reason for UFO's to be here.
Respectfully,
Munhozmib.

I've never personally seen something that could be taken for a UFO, but there are so many sightings by people who seem to have too much to lose to lie that I think there is something in their stories. Whether these recent sightings will subsequently be explained by something mundane or not or I don't know, but these people must certainly believe that they've seen something peculiar.

Being that "UFO" stands for "Unindentified Flying Object", in it's pure definition of it, I have seen many UFO's, I call it that only because I didn't know what it was, or I couldn't "Identify" what it was... Anything from spec of light in my backyard to things "seemed" like flying around over the hills... Just because I can't describe or I didn't know what it was, I wouldn't be so quick to call it "Alian" stuff... All the things I've seen could've been anything... Not once have I came across alians from outter space, I don't know if they exist, either... If a tree falls in a forest & nobody's around to hear it, did it make a noice? Well, by a definition, noice is nothing more that a vibration of the air... So I guess it did make a noice... Do UFO's exist? Most definately... There are many things out there that flies around & we have no idea what they are... Doesn't make them from out of space but we just can't figure out what they are... May be some of them are from out of space... Nobody knows that for sure... That's what makes them "UFO"s... If they were identified, they wouldn't be, technically, called "UNidentified flying objects", would it...?
