strawberry seeds

i`ve just bought some strawberry seeds but im not sure what i should do with them, can i put them in ground or do i need to put them in a pot?

Start them off in seed trays and when they grow move them to wear you want them. I keep mine in a pot. I have a herb/strawberry planter. Ive never grown strawberries from seeds because I bought mine as plants.
I personally wouldnt put them in the ground because if you move house the person who moves in next will be able to enjoy your strawberries!! Keep an eye out for hungry birds aswell! They love red berries!
