According to the internet for depression screening "if you've been feeling down for more a few weeks or having difficulty functioning in daily life" that's depression. When we feel depressed to tend sulk and be silent. We do things that we don't normally do.
I feel depressed sometimes but since "I hate worrying" and it will just makes you old and will just gives you wrinkles. We can prevent the "depress feeling" ...we can release it by talking to people who has happy disposition,we can start writing...believe me..it helps to ease the feeling of being depress..you can also draw or sketch. There are cases that the feeling will go away for awhile but it's still there. But to suffer the feeling for more than a week or if the feelings is still ongoing..that could be bad.You will need a doctor already for treatment.
If you feel depress let the people know that you don't feel good..it will need a support group.
My sister suffers depression and as the doctor advised us we should not tell my sister stories that are depressing...she is taking anti-depressant and we traced the history of the sickness..it all started when our parents separated and I was away from her for about a year and she was so young that time. She was about 2years old when our parents separated. She's my only sister and that's what happened. And she grew up as a loner type of woman, has a handful of friend, all I know is that she just have one friend whereas Im the exact opposite of her.I'm outgoing and I have a lot of friends..I do feel down sometimes but I'm just lucky to have friends around me to comfort me and willing to listen to me.We are just human..we can't prevent from feeling depress sometimes..but at least you should have a friend around.have a nice day.

I'm flattered that I was able to help.Well you can message me anytime if you need advise or just someone who can listen to you and Ill be more than happy and willing to send you back a message.Life is too short to be sad.Lets enjoy life.Think of other people. There some people out there who are problematics but they still manage to enjoy life.Another phrase I learned when I still attend christian meetings..."WORRYING IS AN INSULT TO GOD".He gives us problem and if we can't find ways to solve it and if we feel depress..just a few minutes of silence and a little prayer He'll help us to get answers to problems so that we can lessen the depression as well.tc

Based on my experienced i got depressed when a problem arises and i can't do anything about it or i was having a hard time finding ways to solve it and whenever i got disappointed on certain things that goes beyond my expectations or never expect things to happened. The pain that i had in my heart that no matter how i tried to take it away but still there. These are most likely the reason of my depression before.

maybe its all about how we feel and what we do with these feelings if we feel sad most of us wallow in it instead of trying to be happy so i guess even when we fail surpass the sadness that failure in turn contributes to the end result more depression.thank you you were helpful

We get depressed mostly from and our failed expectations. The more we expect, and if failure comes our way, the more we get depressed. It has also has to do with how much we keep thinking on the same subject. The more we keep thinking on the same, the more depressed we get.

In a nutshell were depressed because we haven't met our expectations. You obviously don't want to be preached to, so I'll just keep it short. Well I don't even understand why depression even exists. Just another irrelevant rift in our lives.

Different reasons! If it's not medical..like a chemical or electrical brain issue that a neurologist can treat..then it's from situations we have in life!
Id you feel depressed and it's a situation you are in..GET OUT of the situation! Try something different.
Doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different feeling or result can drive you NUTS! Do sonething different if you are bummed!
But if life is OK..but you are bummed, then you might have a medical thing. If you had appendicitis, you'd go to the doctor FAST! Nothing wrong with seeing a neurologist or your regular doctor FAST if this depression is medical, right?
Hope this helps!
