So Excited!

aww.. that really stinks that people gave you bad ratings because they didn't *like* your topics. I have read most of your discussions, and replied to a large amount of them, mostly if I really felt like I could add something. Most the time I can think of something to add, but I definitely try not to just post responses just for the number. LOL That is cool! I don't know how long it will take me, I *could* make 16 within the next week and a half or so. Currently at 6.72, my Tuesday didn't go as well as I hoped, only got 37 posts by midnight, but I know that is because I write a lot, I'm sure I could get more in if I did 5-10 line posts, but thne I would feel like I was holding too much in, and I hate that. LOL My goal for posts is 30-40, my highest was 47, but I really want to make 50! LOL I could do it if I hadn't had to go out the past 2 days with my mom.. grr.. LOL I hate the hot weather.

oh yea, I forgot.. I give you a plus rating evertime I see a post from you.. so that will show those mean people who negative rated you!

i do the plus too lol.. i go through spells where i write a lot and then i dont.. i tend to ramble so some times i have to cut back after i have written everything so its not so long.. lol

aww.. well, thank you. I try my best to write as much about whatever discussions I feel I can add something to. Sometimes I worry that I write too much, but then I think, well this is a site for us to write and share opinions and experiences. So whether that means writing a short 5 or 6 lines or 20 lines, as long as it's good quality that is the important thing. That is great that you want to practice English, this is a good site to do that. And that's so true, meeting new friends is a great part of this site. I am also here for that as well, sometimes I don't think that comes through, because I do enjoy the money part quite a bit, especially since I am a recent graduate and don't have a job, and money is tight at home.. so I am happy with every dollar I can make so I can have a little "fun" money and not use my credit card so much. LOL It's nice to meet you too! I think you are doing a good job for not having perfect English, and I'm sure the more practice you get the better. I only attempted to take one language in college, and it was German, I had to drop the class because I couldn't learn it quickly enough. But I did pick a little of it up. So I do know how difficult picking up a language is, and with this site being pretty much all English, that would have to be hard for anyone whose first language isn't English.

Thanks for your comments. I like the style you write, friendly and full of patience. you know, Mastering a new language is a really tough experience. I started to learn English when I was on grade 5 of primary school. it was about 1992, until my graduation on 2007, so long, since lack of opportunity to practice it, I feel no progress. I learned a little German as well, so interesting, but I can only remember how to say "hello" and "goodbye". lol

aww.. thank you, I never know if I'm talking too much or what. Once I start writing I just write until I feel like I have said all I can say that relates to the discussion. I don't talk a whole lot in real life, so I think that's why this has been so great, being able to share my ideas and opinions with people who are here for that very reason, to write what they think and to read what others think. You also do really good posts, I honestly really love to read your discussions, and even responses when I have seen you respond to a discussion I am reading. You are so successful here it seems, and you definitely work hard for it. And I definitely admire that!

Thank you! yea, I tend to use mylot as an outlet, and it's great to be able to use my words to add to a discussion and help others through simply being another person who responds to their post, or helping them if they want opinions on a topic that affects them, either way, I like feeling useful. LOL Yea, I don't always make 50, actually yesterday I only made it to 40, which is excellent, but not my goal. LOL and today isn't looking good for getting 50 either, but it could happen. It's because I had to go out both days, so it took away from my mylot time. Yea! I noticed that also, I didn't at first then once I was like, OMG my star went up! LOL I was happy and shocked, because it seems like it just went to 8 a day or 2 ago. LOL But I definitely don't complain about it going up. It does make me feel good though, since the star rating is based on other site users. I know I rate people with a plus as much as possible, especially if I am replying to their discussion, but I also give a plus to anyone who responds to one of my discussions, and just between us, I sometimes even go on a quest to see what my friends are up to, and help them all out as well.:)

Oh wow, that's kinda surpring that you haven't been able to make $5 yet, but I know they say post count isn't necessarily an indicator of earnings. Oh I am definitely excited and very proud of how good I am doing. I was afraid that I wasn't going to be able to write a lot and make good earnings as well, but I was definitely wrong. This community is so inspiring, and friendly!

Oh I know, it's definitely not as much as I'd like. But it's not too bad. LOL I actually do write fairly long posts most the time. Actually sometimes I wonder if my posts are too long! LOL I haven't been starting a lot, so I may try and do that more often and see if it makes a difference. Oh, and that first day I started kinda late at night, so I didn't get many posts in before midnight, so the first day I only made like 14 cents. LOL So I think that I will probably keep getting better the longer I am here. I just have to stay focused. Unfortunately, today is not going to be as productive as I hoped, because I found out that I had to go out.. ughh. Total downer, I really don't want to go out because it's so hot and I was really looking forward to breaking my goal of 50 posts. I am hoping to be home not too late in the afternoon so I can get some good posting in. I guess the good thing is I will be able to go through the whole day's posts and reply instead of getting them as they come in. :) And wow, 50 bucks in a month, about how many posts in a day did you make for that. Oh, I guess I forgot to mention, I have no referrals, so the money I make is completely on my own, so I have a feeling that affects my earnings in a big way.

Yea, that's understandable. I'm sure there will be times when I don't get to post as much as I'd like, today was one of those days actually, I think if I didn't have to go out I could have reached 50 posts for Monday, beating my Sunday count of 47! LOL But I did make 40, which it still really good considering I write a lot. If I wrote shorter responses I could definitely hit 60 or more posts a day, but I feel like quality is important, and in order for it to be quality I feel like I can't hold back. If that means 40 good posts instead of 80 fair/ok posts, then fine! LOL 13 days into the month, that is great! At the rate I'm going I think I will probably make payout by my 13th day here, which will be next Sunday, but who knows, I might make it before then. At that point I will be happy to have made payout and work on getting that amount up! LOL

aww.. too bad, that would have been so cool if you could have made 5000 posts! I am going pretty quickly, but I so can't even imagine 1000 posts much less 5000, but considering how much I have been on here it probably won't take me as long as I think. That is great that you made payout though! :D

Oh I definitely agree, people in other parts of the world have to contend with a lot of different things, time differences, language barriers, etc. But I think that is the good thing about this site, yes, the money we make is nice, but we get to share opinions with people all over the world, which is something we don't see everyday. We get all viewpoints and from what I've see they are all accepted. And that is a rarity in society these days.

Well, the payrate is a mystery here, so nobody knows really what the situation is. I do know that pay is based on quality and quantity, therefore, the better quality your responses and posts are the more you will make, and the longer your posts are the more you will make. So basically you can increase how much you make my posting more responses for example, but also focus on quality, for me I just speak from the heart or speak from knowledge. If you force it, most likely it won't come out right. And then quantity would be, when you post, write at least 6-10 lines. Most the time I write much more because, well, that's just my writing style, and when I have a lot to say about something I have a hard time limiting how much I write. The star rating appears next to your name once you hit a use rating of 100 (the number next to your name). The star rating is simply your reputation on the site. From what I've heard it really doesn't mean a whole lot as far as earnings go. But it is a nice thing to have.
