Why are people mean ?

We're all mean once in awhile, and usually we don't intend to be. There are just days when we reach the end of our rope and lash out. It would be wonderful if we could be sweet and caring all the time, but it just isn't human. The nicest people I've ever known have had their bad moments, too.

i think some people are mean because they are not happy about the way they look, maybe their financial situation,relationships,their childhood, i dont know im guessing then some people are just mean because they have the devil in them

Mostly theyre just bitter and out to vent their frusturation .. :D forgive them sinners!!

They're probably really hurt. At some point, somebody—their parents, their lovers, Lady Luck—did them dirty. They were crushed. maybe they're still afraid the pain will never stop, or that it will happen again. i hate mean people, they should just get over it and move on and live a happy fulfilled life

it just human nature. everyone is different and people go about in different ways in coping of their madness and unhappiness.

people so mean? sometimes people are wise, after being wise they are mean to everybody. If we are crazy and easy to get angry, we are not mean and we will be crazy to everybody!

I think people that are mean are very unhappy people and don't think others should be happy to.. And maybe had it hard growing up or something bad happend to them, maybe they just never learned how to be nice..

Cause they live under the pressure! people try to do too much work! if you ain't got work you are still under the pressure! People are tight! Greetings from Finland!

some people have "off days", some have had too many betrayals so they tend to have a defence mechanism....for some its just natural because they have grown up watching the adults around them...who have been to busy to be nice...or have ego problems.... take your pick.

because all of us have problems and some of us can't smile when they're sad as some of them do...for example i smile when im sad even if it's hard to fake..but i don't want to upset people...
