I must admit..I like to be alone a lot of the time. Not always...but I certainly need some space each and every day. The problem is my girlfriend is the exact opposite. She always wants us to be together. I find this a bit constricting. What about you? Do you value and need your alone time? cheers,

my girlfriend cannot stand being alone. I think that it is a maturity issue. Me personally have never felt the need to have someone with me.

Yes I think it could either be a maturity issue or maybe a different personality type. cheers,

I like some alone time, too. Some people are just more content with themselves than others, I guess. Or we don't feel the need for constant social interaction. Alone time is time to decompress, focus, and let the ears stop ringing.

Hello golfproo, I think I am like your girlfriend. I prefer my husband to be around me most of the time. And he thinks that I am trying to control him so that he won't flirt around. That is not the reason. I don't mind him going out and spending time with his friends but I just feel so lonely and empty whenever he is not around. As for myself, I do feel better if I have my own sweet time once awhile.

oooh i adore having time to myslef, its not something i get on a regular occasion tho having too small children who refuse to sleep i hardly ever get time to myself. but saying that they are actually in bed asleep now lol so im shocked and really enjoying the time i have and also the peace and quiet too. when i was with my partner we both liked our alone time, if you are together 24/7 it gets boring and also you both get fed up of the sight of each other. i think all couples need some space and also individual hobbies and friends.

My alone time is sonething I enjoy very much. It's the only time I can relax but still get a lot done. I don't know why but I just can't concentrate with other people around me and therefore, I can't get work done. My alone time is better then my time around my friends although I do cherish this time too.

I love my time alone... But sense my little one has been out of school I haven't had much for that.. I do at night though after 10 pm for a few hours either come on line or watch tv by myself.. I do love my alone time though it's so relaxing it's nice..

I have always enjoyed solitude, and feel sorry for those who can't stand their own company! I am fortunate enough to be able to work from home, and enjoy the day alone but am (usually) glad when my family comes home at the end of the day. My husband gets anxious when he is home and I'm not, and sometimes I feel suffocated by him. I used to work outside the home, and it really bothered me then, but not so much now since I have the house to myself most days now, during the morning and afternoon.

i realised that there are times I just need to be alone and think. I mean alone where there is no sound at all just total silence. Not everyday though just once in a while. It really helps to just listen to the silence. It helps you think properly.
