Mark Henry is the new ECW champion.

I remember he held the European championship for a month back in 1999. From what I've heard, he signed a huge 10 year contract in '96 and how much of those first ten years was he on the active roster? I know he spent a lot of the time in OVW and he seems rather injury prone. The new ECW champion is the same guy who "impregnated" Mae Young and was with "Sammy." I think he should've stayed as a mid-card comedy act, because that's how I remember him. Kane definitely deserves another reign and more championships. How many men his size can do dropkicks, enziguris and actually have submission holds in their arsenal? He's definitely worked hard and deserved this title reign. I'm afraid he'll get overshadowed by Cena and Batista and not even get to contend for the major titles. I think WWE needs to pay Kane the same kind of respect they do to Taker.

That's a scary thought on how Mark Henry went from that to now champ. It is sad that Kane may not get another run and get that respect as 'Taker but I guess it is what it is. Is it right? It's wrong. I wouldn't object to another run as champ. Maybe he could win the World Heavyweight Title and become a WWE Triple Crown World Champion if you count the ECW Title as a World Title.

Well, since C.M Punk cashed in last night and won, which was pretty cool to see, btw, I wonder who his next challenger will be? Obviously, Batista and Cena will be in line and probably challenge him for the title. I can also imagine Randy Orton will be in line for a shot when he comes back. Chris Jericho is feuding with Shawn Michaels, so his attention is diverted from the world title. I wonder if they'd attempt to turn Kane heel or if that's even possible at this stage in his career? He could be a psycho heel that's pi$$ed over losing the ECW tile and destroy everyone in his path, but I think he'd just end up getting cheered regardless.

I hope they book Punk as a credible champion, unlike what they did with Rey Mysterio a couple of years ago. I like that they had Punk give Edge a taste of his own medicine last night. With JBL's close relationship with Vince McMahon, I hope that doesn't make for a short C.M Punk title reign. Henry turning babyface? That'd be interesting to see.

well, cm punk just won the world heavyweight title against edge in raw. he cashed in his money in the bank. edge was on hand at raw to bash jim ross. batista came out and beat the living hell out of edge and cm punk comes down to give edge a gts and win the title. cm punk later defended his title against jbl and jbl brought out his goons to intimidate cm punk. cena comes out with cryme tyme and they take care of the goons. i see cm punk defendign the title once again against jbl at the great american bash. of course, punks wins again and i see him havign a rivalry with cena and perhaps with a returnign orton. cryme tyme, i want to see to challenge for the tag team titles. that's about it.

Yeah, ECW got the shaft in the draft, that's for sure. I guess we'll get to see Henry squash Super Crazy, Tommy Dreamer and Nunzio every week on ECW. Exciting...._. *sarcasm* Unless, they decide to go with a Finlay/Henry feud.

I agree with you. Mark Henry didn't do anything to earn a spot in the match. Big Show won a #1 contenders match at ONS. It should've been Show vs. Kane. Hopefully, Kane is utilized properly on Raw. He definitely is a versatile, talented, big man wrestler!

Actually I've heard he was pretty strong and I think at one point he was the World's Strongest Man and this is no joke. I read this somewhere but I'm trying to remember where exactly. Though to be fair, it hasn't exactly been a great career for Mark Henry with injuries.
