Do you use your frequent flyer milages or you let them expire?

I have used my frequent flyer miles several times for travel. I am earning miles for using my visa every month. Earlier I never used my miles and let them expire, what a waste. How do you earn miles and have you used them?

I collect frequent flyer mileage points from differet airlines, Air Canada, Delta, Japan Airlines, Singapore Airlines, and some more. And also from credit cards. Yes, I used the points when I have enough for the fights too. Certainly very helpful. I don't let them expire.

I am earning mileage points thru travelling coz i am working overseas and i usally go for vacation every 6 month. Using my visa is just a contributory factor but not a major source for my mileage points.
