Do you think that single parents should rely on their teens to help them raise younger siblings? For example a single parent who works and needs his or her teenage child to cook, clean and care for younger siblings. Yet, expects that child to not take on an adult role when the parent is present. Do you think that placing a child in an adult role may have its consequences. Especially when the parent wants to discipline that child. What do you think?

In my honest opinion, teenagers should take some of the responsibilities in a home where either a mom or dad is not present. but I do believe that these responsibilities must not be too much that it would keep a teenager to live a good life. Division of labor would be implemented and shared between adults and teens to balance the work in the house. But teens must be able to study and have some fun from time to time. The disadvantage of giving adult roles to kids is that they will not enjoy their teen life to the fullest. On the other hand it will prepare them for their life in the future.:)
