Do you think that having the name Hussein will have an effect on the number of votes he will get this coming elections? Just Curious, SFC

I think that most people are not that narrow minded. I dont think his middle name matters. it could be donald duck and not have an effect on the eletorate. Obama and staff are samart enough to deal with this situation and turn it to their advantage anyway.

The only way that will affect him is if the judgemental win. There are still people in the world named Adolf, that doesn't mean they're like Adolf Hitler. I think the whole thing is rather ironic. If people are going to judge a man by his name, they are truly sick.

serious voters do not care what somebody's middle name is only what they can do for the country, idiots can disliked a candidate based on what kind of shoes he wears, who knows what is in the minds of the voters.

You can not judge a man by his name but solely by his actions, but it would be very interesting to know if he has any connections to the Hussein family before he is ever in a position of power, I would think that if he was this is something that would have come to the forefront a long time ago and kept him from being in the position that he is in right now on the verge of becoming the most powerful man in arguably the most powerful nation on earth.

I'd like to think it wouldn't. If the burning issue about who should be wielding executive power in the US is 'what middle name do they have', I don't see a lot of hope for this country. It's already fairly disturbing that the democratic candidacy seemed to center around 'Do we want a black guy or a white woman?' Didn't people used to vote for their president because of, you know, political affiliations, and stances on issues?

It Sure Doesn't seem to have had an adverse effect on his chances thus far..

I don't think it will; it hasn't so far. If it does have an effect on some, they will be the narrow-minded and ignorant. And there are plenty of them to go around. For the average person, though, no...it won't matter at all.

I dont think so. Many of the americans that are for him don't care about his values and what he represents so why should they care about his middle name. I believe they should be looking more deeply to God and what his winning presidency could mean.

I imagine it won't have a positive effect on him, but I don't think it's that widely known either. I don't hear people talking about it all the time so I think it will have some impact, but not a lot.
