i know this question is already given by Capital One Credit card LOL
but kidding aside i know there are those who make their wallet like the center of their daily lives and they keep everything in their (some even have his/her whole family photos on it)
anyway, my question is the same..
what's on your wallet?
why do you have to have them?
is it a necessity or just a want in your case?
if there is something else you can put there what would it be?
to answer my own questions...
what's on your wallet?
- credit card, debit card, id, bodyshop card, some pennies, few dollars and our photo (the first photo he gave me and my old photo)
why do you have to have them?
- i need the cash cards coz i dont carry much cash with me, we used cards to buy most everything coz we get points by using it and it helps build our credit score.
- i have bodyshop card with me coz sometimes when we go to the mall there are stuff that i want to buy to that store and i get 10% discount out of that, so might as well have it just in case LOL
- few dollars coz sometimes there are small stuff that i want to buy or sometimes we need to leave a tip when we dine in specially when we go eat to this place where this lovely lady is working.
- I.D. coz most of the time they think i am younger than my real age (sometimes more than 10 years yay!) so i have to have something that will really state my age or else i will be in trouble.
also sometimes, some store needs a verification ID when you buy something using your card so it should always be handy.
- our photos = coz i love to keep him where ever i go and it just makes me feel safe.
why do you have to have them?
- coz i NEED them all haha!
is it a necessity or just a want in your case?
- a necessity coz they are something i used often and the photo is something that is very close to my heart.
if there is something else you can put there what would it be?
- a compact phone (yeah more compact LOL)
hoping to hear yours...
have a good one!

In my wallet I have my cash, coins, photos, bank and insurance cards. Theres a section in my purse where I keep my id and debit card since I use those the most.
I need these things to pay for my items, and I need my insurance card in case I have to go to the doctor. I have photos in my wallet of my daughter in case I come across a friend or someone I haven't seen in a while and I can she them the photos of her.
Cash is something we need to pay for things we need and want. Basically everything in my wallet is a necessity and something you can't leave home without.

I can remember carrying a wallet when I was working in Saudi Arabia. But now I don't carry a wallet. Once I kept a small folder like thing, which is not a wallet, so there was no money in it. But I had three credit cards, my National Identity card and my driving licence in it. Lo and behold I lost it. The credit cards of course were replaced, but the ID and the DL was a big loss. I got my identity card only about one month back after nearly 7 years.
Anyway since I don't have a wallet I will tell you what I had in my pocket today.
1.My HSBC Mastercard
2.MY HSBC Visa Card
3.MY Chartered Bank Visa card
-- I need them all to buy things. I use them alternatively to take maximum advantage of the repayment period.
4.Rs. 7000 in cash.
-- That is a lot of money to carry in a pocket. Specially when using public transport. But I brought it from the bank for my sons tution Rs.4000 plus Electricity bill Rs.2700. Rs.7000 in Sri Lanka is about 70 US dollars
5.My reading glasses
6.My UN identity card
-- I don't carry my National Identity card after the bad experience losing it. So I carry the UN Identity card. I get more respect at check points with that and it carries a bit of diplomatic immunity.
7.Some Coins
-- Small change for the bus.
8.Keys to my safe in office
-- I am the accountant and the money is in my custody. So I have to bring the keys to the safe.
9.My mobile phone
-- Oh that is going a bit too far. Anyway I won't be putting it into a wallet. So I'll apply the brakes now.

hello there,
thanks for sharing your stuff with me, that is very great of you to provide all those information.
i am sorry that you lost a wallet in the past, i know how it is like.
i remember the first time a pick-pocket did it to me and i was devastated coz i got all my important stuff on it and the only money i have for the whole semester so it hurts me so much.
the last time was when i was working in china and someone entered our apartment and took my bag and my wallet is there and other identification and i have to go to police and the embassy and all that crazy stuff but nothing happen really and i just have to get a new one and pay for it (yeah, cost me a lot too LOL)
i know someone who do the same thing like you do, except he just keep all copied ones on his folder and carry it everywhere he goes in china coz once you lost it is such a pain to replace it, oh well.
btw, you sure sound like a very organize person that's very good.
wish you all the best and thanks for being here again.

hahaha, i feel like i ransack your purse LOL
you must like to go to libraries since you do some writings, great for you.
the library we have here is a bit far and i have to ask my hubby to drive me there coz there is no public transportation that can bring me so i am resting with my laptop haha.
that is good that you are using your credit cards paying your stuff, do you get points out of it?
we just cash in the points that we have and it is amazing how you can get few hundreds by using your credit points.
i cant blame you for bringing everything in your wallet and purse as they are all needed specially in case of emergency, reason why i try to bring even s small purse with me so i can have it any time.
anyway, thanks for being here.

hahaha, i think it is common to all men to ask where is where and what is what LOL
they always blame us, girls, if they cant find something so they rather ask where it is and spare themselves with frustration - great excuse haha!
i like to have a music player with me, my hubby teases me all the time coz i have almost all the ipod style (NO i dont). i like to bring the old nano with me coz i can just clip it on my sleeve or on my shorts and i am ready to go.
how's your hubby doing on his treatment?
i hope he is doing well with everything.
goodnight!

I have too much 'stuff' in my wallet that I need to weed out.
I have my bankcard, my hubbies bankcard (when he is away), gym card (which I haven't used in ages and just wasting my money away each month LOL), my green card, my son's green card, my id card, my metro card, my grocery store cards, my check book, receipts that I need to go through then shred, stamps, car insurance card, medical insurance card, bit and peices of junk that I don't know why I have LOl, credit card, 9 dollars, lots of coins, dept store cards (2) and a couple of passport photos of my son.
Why do I need these? because I just do LOL A few things I have in there can go actually which I am going to do after I finish posting this message.
What else i can put in there? I dont' think I can fit anything else my friend. I know I need a new wallet though as the coin part of it has torn and I've used tape to keep it together hahaha.

I use my green card as ID. I should actually get a proper ID and leave our green cards home for safekeeping. But then again I forgot my sons one when we travelled to Rarotonga and had a hard time getting back into the country, that why I decided to carry them with me at all times. I need to remember my SSN number as well and shouldn't carry that with me.
We both are NZ citizens and lived in Samoa prior to moving to the States. It will be two years in August for us :)

wow! that is quite a list, i can imagine that you have a luggage kind of wallet LOL
i was wondering why you guys have a green card, did you guys live in NZ before and just move here?
i will be so upset if i lost my wallet if my wallet will have your stuff, it sure all very important stuff. i remember telling my hubby to bring just a copy of SSN than bringing the thing but he is very hard headed so i just let it be.
i honestly dont like carrying anything with me, i have to ask him if he will need anything from me and if he says NO then i am good to go without my baggage hahaha!
hahaha, i bet there is no room for some more out there as yours is well used. great for you!
Christmas is coming soon so hope you get a new wallet then or maybe bring less coins next time hahaha!
thanks for being here!

thanks for your respond.
yea, i remember you forget bout your son's green card and your reason for having it with all the time now is very reasonable!
i think you can only request twice in a lifetime of a SSN card so i try to be very careful about it, specially if you lost the wallet and your SSN is there it is not good as you are susceptible for identity theft then.
i have never been in NZ (though i have seen it in videos and photos and it is awesome, one of the cleanest and greenest country in the world) nor any part of europe but i am hoping to visit denmark in my lifetime.
i guess i have to tease my sister to save for me since she lives few hours away from denmark (finland)., im keeping my fingers cross LOL
enjoy your evening!

Hello jairgirl, I guess I can tell you what's in my wallet. I have no cash, as old shopping dockets and receipts are filling the bill section to the point of overflowing, LOL! Probably about time I cleaned it out. I also have a bank card, my license, which looks nothing like me(hope I don't get pulled over by the cops, they'll arrest me for not being me, LOL), business cards, shopping rewards card, video rental cards, various other cards, a picture of my wife and son, an old recipe and a spare key. I think that almost covers it. Only on rare occasion is there actually money in there, as my wife usually takes it five minutes after I put it there, LOL!

Hello stranger, nice to chat again, I thought you were just ignoring me, LOL!
You ask about the recipe? Well, if ever I'm driving and I get the craving for something special, I pull over and make it..... LOL, did you believe me? No, actually, it is an old rice pudding recipe that belonged to my grandmother, which she always used to make for me. I lost my original, so had to copy it out again from my mum, and stuck it in my wallet and there it has stayed! And yes, I do like to cook, and my wife enjoys it too, so I can't be too bad. I can't remember any failures(that's waht I'm telling you anyway!). As for my license photo, I was a younger, my hair was longer, I didn't have a goatee and I looked quite pi*#ed off! My wife says I looked like a killer, LOL, and then I remind her that that's who she fell in love with, LOL!
Ah, so you have the money....cool, can I raid your wallet too?!

hello muscare,
long time no see LOL
thanks for the smile again.
hahaha what is that old recipe all about, i have never heard a man nor a woman who kept a recipe on their wallet just YOU - mind sharing what it is?
do you like to cook? i love to cook and i enjoy tasting anything as long as it looks and smell decent haha!
you sure is very funny, did you wear a mask or something when you had your photo ID taken?
when i met my husband i was laghing my @$$ off coz he showed me his passport and i swear i told him that he is such an ugly old fart looking man on that one (yeah i am that mean coz i only met him the 2nd time then LOL)
you sure have a lot of stuff going on there mate! im sure if someone picked your pocket they will think they hit the jackpot coz of the bulky looking BUT will have a sour look in the end hahaha.
hey! my hubby usually tease me coz he finds more money on my wallet than his, he thinks i am the bank draft and he is the working horse - such life ei?
thanks for the response.

Oh, I see jairgirl, you tried to let me know you were going to be away....ok, you're off the hook, LOL! Although... you could've used the private messenger on mylot....all 200(or whatever) of your friends here. Ok, I'm kidding, like I said, I'll let you off, LOL!
The recipe is probably more like a baked rice custard, and delicious with cream or icecream(or both) with not a single calorie. Ok, maybe a few, but one needs to indulge sometimes.
Hmmm, Gangster, dirty looking? What you trying to say jairgirl??! I did have my license photo taken on a bad day, you know, LOL!
It's good that you use your 'bet' money for good things (sorry, who are the kids you refer to?), with your obviously kind, giving nature. Keep up the good work.
