I have a HP Pavilion Entertainment PC with Windows Vista Premium. It works for me! So far it does what I need it to do. At times I wish it was a little faster but who doesn't have those experiences every now & again. I'm proud of my laptop because it has enabled me to start earning money on the Internet! One of the main programs that has paid for my laptop & monthly internet service several times over is HubPages (to get details on this money-making opportunity see my profile) and of course a little help from my MyLot earnings keeps things going swell ;-) combined with a few other endeavors. I don't plan on trading in or getting a new laptop any time soon. My HP laptop is cool with me...at least for now :-)

I have a Dell Inspiron 8500 that I bought from my son 2 years ago. He had it 3 years when I bought it. I run XP Pro and love it. Don't know when we will ever buy Vista since so many people have had problems with it. But both our teenage grandchildren have a laptop running Vista and they haven't had any problems so far.

Yes Vista had many problems it's fair share of problems in the beginning - which is not unusual for new technology - but now kinks have been worked out and it's pretty cool and more secure than XP. XP may still be available for now but it will eventually be phased out. Just look at new products & games being built that are not even compatible with XP any longer ~ only Vista. Eventually you will have to convert and there's nothing to be afraid of now.

well i have a compaq laptop with amd processor. it has windows xo installed in it and i am using it for more than a year now and i would suggest you guys not to buy that. it is forst of all not a very sturdy model. the flap does not lock on properly and then there are other problems like speaker etc etc. but the thing is it was cheap that time and i was in a big need for a quick laptop and so i thought to go for that.

Sorry to hear that. I've worked in the computer industry so I will tell you -- Never Skimp On A Laptop (of course you know this now) because everything is internal and oftentimes can be very hard & expensive to upgrade/repair; most likely it won't be worth it. Make sure your next laptop has good specs, nice reviews and at least a basic warranty. You have to be farrr more careful purchasing laptops over desktops because of the above reasons.

I own Neo laptop with Windows XP.... I just bought last month...
You might not be familiar with the brand but it's good, too...
It's affordable but has a good quality...
I hope I can also make money online through my laptop like you...

I have a Dell laptop with Windows XP on it. I got it in the summer of 2005 for a graduation from high school present. It still runs beautifully, despite all the abuse I've done to it. The battery originally lasted up to 5 hours, but now only does 1.5-2 hours on a good day. The keyboard is a teensy bit worn, but works as well as it initially did.
Still, I realize how old it is now... it's only got 50 gigs on it for space, after all. Nowadays you can get a cheap Dell with over 200 gigs of space, easy. :P

Well it may be old but as long as it's doing what you need it to do is all that counts. Don't get caught up with all the current industry specs. That's how people end up buying computers farrr beyond their means & needs.
