Help me decide which cellphone to buy??!!!!!!

I've been meaning to buy a cellphone since last month. I've been browsing the net for quite some time now, trying to decide what brand and model to buy. My tentative choice is the Nokia N76 cellphone. I really am attracted to this cellphone because it is clamshell shaped and I really have a liking for clamshell-shaped cellphones. But this isn't definite yet. Can anybody suggest another brand and model and what are the pros and cons of this cellphone? If possible i'd like it to be clamshell-shaped. Need your help!!! help me out guyz..

Do not buy nokia phones as my partner's last two phones have been nokia and both of them he lost the light in the screen so he can't see two different types of phones. He took it to nokia and they said it would cost $200 to fix as the 1 year waranty has just gone.

I'm sorry to hear about that!!! So you mean to say that the cost of the repair would almost be equivalent to a brand new cellphone? Isn't that an exorbitant fee to pay for a cellphone repair? I hope you didn't have it fixed because the service charge is just way too high... Just buy a new one... thanks for the warning i'll try to consider some other brands...

Do most nokia cellphones have those kinds of problem? Like is it really a common problem, the software thing? So which ones would you go buy if you were me? My second option would be Samsung coz i think it's durable although it's a bit expensive.

if you are to buy a cellphone, you have to take into considerations to what you are looking for. example, are you the type of person who wants to take random pictures? (then go for a cellphone that has a good built-in camera - sony ericsson cybershot phones are a great choice) sound quality-wise, i suggest you buy sony ericsson walkman phones. i don't really trust nokia because of te operating system the use (symbian) as it is prone to a lot of virus. besides, sony ericsson is much better than nokia, to be honest. =)
