I'm a member of eBay.com.au - i think i buy more than i sell but i do have an eBay store, i love stationery so have ventured in to that!
The only bad thing about it is the people who bid on things & dont make contact & dont pay - at the moment i'm waiting for a winning bidder to pay for a pair of boots she won but with no contact & no payment, it is a little upsetting but i have had far more good experiences than bad ones so it's not too bad.

I sell more than buying in ebay locally. I have been an ebay member since May, 2006. I usuall sell my own stuff either new or used such as those promotion give away item or free gift or prizes I won from a contest. At first I do not have any unhappy experience selling at ebay but recently I have been facing few problem such as bidding from member from other country which I do not ship ( I sell only in ebay Malaysia ), some won the bidding but no response at all even I sent them email with my account detail and have no courtesy to even reply my numerous email whether they are still interested to buy the item ,for these group of bidders, I usually end up given them negative feedback cos they really have prevented me to relist the item ASAP and thus may have missed out any potential buyer.

thank you for your response. I just joined ebay.com.my a few months ago. So far, I only manage to secure 10 positive feedbacks. I sell my personal items such as clothes & accessories that I bought but later feel not suitable, then list it at local ebay for sale.I sell my DIY accessories, like earrings, necklace. I am still a newbie at ebay and still have a lot to learn. I plan to eventually sell all my DIY stuff at ebay locally and internationally.

I am also a member of eBay, although it is ages since I have bought anything from them. Generally I have had mostly really good experiences with a couple of hiccups along the way of course. I have, like most people, made a couple of not so good purchases but on the whole the majority of things that I have bought have been real bargains as far as I am concerned.
Initially I only used to buy from Australian sellers, because this is where I live, but then quite by accident one day it ended up on a worldwide lot when I put something into the search. So after checking out a few of the items, I did some money conversions, asked the seller for the price of postage. Then I was away, buying from international sellers because they were selling to a wider market and therefore the prices were cheaper than here in Australia.
My best experience was getting something from a seller in the USA and it turned out she didn't have paypal which then presented a bit of a problem. As it turned out she collected something that I had, and just said to send to her enough stamps to what I thought was the same value, so I sorted through all my old stamps. Where I had several of the same and in reasonably good-excellent condition, I pulled a couple out. Bundled them all up and off they went to her, thinking no more of it. What I didn't realise the value of 2 of those stamps and today I still thank God that I had an honest seller. She checked all the stamps and found 2 that were really valuable, so she sent the items to me plus some other things she had that were similar to what I bought. Also she bid on several similar items from sellers here in Australia, paid for them and had them sent to me.
What a wonderful seller, and had she not told me I would have been none the wiser, at least till I had the stamps valued which might have been years away. A quick change of plan, all the stamps were valued and then treated with much more respect. Another seller sold me something that she believed was genuine, but it turned out not to be, so I contacted her to let her know. That same day she refunded the money, including the postage, even before I had sent the item back to her.
On the bad side of things, one seller charged me a certain amount for an item and it seemed okay, although a little high but I thought she would wrap and present it nicely. No way, and in fact it was in an ordinary envelope with no padding or wrapping whatsoever and sent in a business envelope from her employer, so she never even paid for postage herself. The other bad one was a seller who was paid the day after the auction ended and never sent the item, so after repeated emails to her about the matter and her always saying it would be sent that day, I got her phone number from eBay and phoned her. Again she promised to send it, but it never arrived, so I had to report her to eBay or else lose my money.
She left me the only negative rating I have ever received, the item never ever arrived and although eBay (or paypal) did refund some of the money it still cost me.
That is the really good and the really bad experiences I have had with eBay. However on the whole it has been good and certainly a learning curve for me. I do not buy much these days and have not been selling, but gradually I am getting organised to do that in conjunction with a friend.
Congratulations asimo on receiving an excellent positive feedback from your first buyer on eBay and may there be many more to come in the future. :)
