I'm not sure what is faster. I think it probably depends how busy the drive through line is, and actually if there are a lot of cars there it will probably also be slow inside as well. LOL But typically we go through the drive thru. Most the time we go to Sonic now, so it's a totally different experience, I actually think it's pretty cool. And in my experience, they are pretty quick bringing the food out. I think it's probably just as easy to do either, and really just a personal preference. The only time it's really a pain is if they give you the wrong thing, then having to go in anyway if you want to correct it.

I LOVE Sonic! One just opened here and I have to say that the entire restaurant, drive thru, carpark, and patio, was JAMMED for like 2 weeks! They are just now calming down somewhat but they have half price drinks from 2-4 pm so they tend to pick up during those hours.

The drive thru is usually quicker, unless it is backed up like a lot of the time it is,so it is sometimes faster to go in and eat,and I prefer to dine in when me and my fiance go to a restaurant, because if you go to the drive thru they usually have a hard time getting the order right.

Sometime it is a pain to eat inside a fast food restaurant even though most of the time I do not mind it,even though it is sometimes better to eat inside a restaurant that is not a fast food restaurant, have a great day, good luck in your life, and Happy Posting.

I think the drive thru is slower. Usually people are too lazy to get out of the car so going in is faster.
Plus, you aren't wasting gas.

I prefer convenience, I guess even if it's not always convenient. So, I do the drive thru. I usually only go to McD's when I have a bunch of kids in the car. I don't particularly care for any of their food, even though I have no problem eating fast food. These days I just order the sweet tea. I normally check my order before leaving the window. There's always a need to ask them for something that they didn't include in the bag. It always amazes me how they give you nuggets with no sauce, or fries with no ketchup. I think that most people enjoy these condiments with their food.

It depends. I generally use the drive thru if I have several kids in the car because even if the drive-thru is backed up, it's more time consuming to unload 3 kids and get them all safely inside, keep them all together, make sure none of them has a meltdown, hits another one, has to go potty, and manage to both order and get the food back to the car and get all the kids back in the car. Not to say this is always a problem but not unloading and loading anybody saves.... at the very least 10 minutes. If it's a bad day, it saves 20 minutes!
If it's just me, or only one kid, sometimes I go in if I can see thru the window that there's no line or just a few and the drive-thru is backed up to the parking lot entrance.

I'd rather go in, I don't like the drive thru, they have a time quota to meet and they don't always get my order right.

I think it is honestly sometimes faster to go in. Especailly if there is a long line in the drive thru. Plus when everyone thinking its faster to go through drive thru everyone does it. Me i usually just go through drive thru because of my social anxeity.
