runescape graphic updates, a PASS or a JOKE?

today jagex has updated their site and added a new high detail beta, which is available to play by members only. about 30 minutes after it's realease people have been complaining about alot of lagg, and not being able play runescape. some people have decalred that they have quit runescape, because of this and many previous updates. for the first 2 hours i wasnt able to upload the runescape login screen, due to the fact "my graphics card wasnt powerfull enough to handul runescape". i got really annoyed by this because it was a new grpahics card that i got recently and a i spent, quite a bit of money on it. i then started looking on the forums, for people experiencing the same problem. after reading through many threads, i found someone saying update your drivers for your hardware even if it's new. i gave this ago and eventually got the runescape login screen working. thats where my second problem occured, i was playing on low detail and was carrying on farming my last patch from when i logged out. my computer cpu was almost 100%, i couldnt believe this, before the updates i could have itunes, runescape and something else loaded and not have any problems playing rs. it seemed to take forever to take 1 "rs" step, that i decided to time my self on how long it would take to plant 1 herb and 1 flower patch. it just took under 8 minutes to do a 20 second job. this was ridiculous, so i logged out before i kicked my computer to death and went out for a bit. ive just tried logging on again, and nothing has improved, so i decided to create this discussion. what are your views on the updates? do you like them or are you lagging like crazy? please do not post any wildy riots and any sort of riots which have anything to do with runescape. thanks
