Who appreciates life the most?

The living or the dying? And give me your reasons.
I feel that the dying appreciate life the most because they can see death staring them in the face and they realise how precious life is to them. Those who are alive often do not appreciate life and often even endanger it.

I feel the dying appreciate life the best. Those who are alive are too vain and preoccupied with life, to realise it's beauty.
