If you're craving fries are you going to buy it in your favorite food chain like McDo, Burger King, KFC, Jollibee, etc.
Or just go to market and buy 1 kilo of french fries. In that case, you'll be the one who cook it when you want to eat them.
Which one you are you? The one who'll cook it? Or the one who'll buy it in Food chains?

I am both since I cook fries sometimes but most of the time, I buy.
Buying and cooking fries is not saving at all. If you will compute the expenses for the oil (you'll be needing a lot since fries frying requires it to be deep fried), the LPG or whatever fuel/heat you will be using to cook it will be more than the amount you will paying if you are to buy it from foodchains. Aside from that, the effort and time you will be consuming in cooking is priceless and could be consumed over other things. So for me, its wiser buying it.

To me buying the fries at the supermarket is better. You can value for your money. So I would go there and purchases it and then prepare it for myself. The fries that they sell in the fast foods are also on the market. All you need to know the brand name and then you ask for it. Prepare it and enjoy as much as you would like to eat. The little much the fast food will be giving you will only open your taste buds for more. So purchasing to me is better.

Well, when I'm out to eat I get fries from fast food. But for home I definitely get store bought as well. And the good thing is, cooking them in the oven is better than cooking them in oil. Also there is the option to pat any oil out of them at home. So overall, getting them at the store and making them is best. But when traveling or out for a long day it's not possible to cook, so the only real option is to go with fast food.
My favorite kind of store bought fries are Ore Ida Fast Food Fries. They are just like McDonald's fries, at least to me. They are really good. I also like Crinkle Cuts. I like tater tots, but haven't had those in a long time!

I make my own potato wedges at home. I can make them how crispy and put as much salt I want on them. Now if I have to have fries from a fast food chain I go to Rally's/Checkers. They have the best fries!! They are so tasty. I also like McDonalds fries when they are hot, but they are always cold when I get them, so I never go there!!

I think fries are a waste of space! They are way too thin and the fast food places put too much salt on. I might go to the local 'chippie' and buy CHIPS (real proper English chips!!) ready cooked, nip into Asda & buy a bag of frozen 'crinklecut oven chips' or just peel the potatoes and cut them to the size I want, put them in the microwave for a couple of minutes then deep-fry them (except I dont own a deep fryer at the moment) Whichever, I'd drown them in vinegar!
