What I did on my 40th bday

Yesterday was my 40th birthday. I didn't do anything special. It was nice just to stay home and relax. My oldest daughter came over with a card and a beautiful necklace for me and my younger daughter and I went out to eat at Arbys. My older daughter had to be at work. Then later on that night, I saw my boyfriend for a bit, then went to bed. It was an uneventful bday but relaxing.

sometimes...atleast some of our bdays,better to celebrate at home with family,actually its overwhelming knowing your family is just there with you....its is so sweet your daughter did that...
its really good to relax on our bday...atleast once in a year we have time to relax and be worry free...

Happy (belated) birthday!!! - would that be 30th June?- if so,we share a birthday ...tho' alas not the same year. I'm a bit further along the timeline. For months before my 40th I had been saying 'when you do my surprise 40th birthday party.....' & making suggestions. So, when my husband started asking me, about a week before, what i'd like to do I played it casual & said I didnt mind. He kept asking so I laughed & said 'you've already sorted it haven't you?' He hadn't... there was no surprise party - or maybe that WAS the surprise ?? We did go out for a meal with my parents and sons so I still spent the day with the people who meant most to me.
