I cannot, I call it the "lowest form of oragami". My son can though, he's always making them. We got him a book on how to make all kinds of different paper airplane designs, he's always creating something that flies through the house. Guess its better than kicking a soccer ball at the wall. How about you, can you fold a Spruce Goose?

Spruce Goose? No chance lol. I can make an airplane though (just). It just never flies more than a few inches before plummeting to the ground. Now my son too can make great ones. What ever it is about boys and making planes!!! :-)

I can fold basic paper airplanes but what is a Spruce Goose? My daughter is always making paper airplanes. Some fly and some are complete bombers.

hi gfp.
yes i can make paper airplanes, paper boats and a couple of origami pieces. i have a book as well plus i got myself some origami paper.
real good hobby you got for your kid. it improves eye and hand coordination and creativity. plus it also improves your child's imagination. eventually, your child will be able to make original origami designs.

Yes I can make paper airplanes that's about it.. I can't make anything else though, I guess I don't have the talent to do those other kinds that people make... This is kind of a neat one that I put with my post however I can't make this one unless I tried really hard just the plain jane ones lol

I can fold a paper airplane but...they never fly for me. I tried other origami but I wasnt very good at that either.
I remember reading a book about a girl that was sick with leukemia who did origami...cant remember the title. We read it in school then had to make the birds she made in class...Mine looked really gibbled.

I can make paper airplanes I've been doing that for ever. I would have to agree with you that it is better than kicking a ball around the house and hitting the walls at least the paper airplane won't do no harm. As for makeing a spruce goose? lol not a chance here on my end. I have never heard of sruce goose up until you just mentioned it lol. It's good your son is creative the way he is and can entertain him self in this way instead of being in front of video games all the time like some kids are. Have him make a couple and post them here we all would love to see it.

Ha! I can barely fold a piece of paper in half! LOL
My youngest son has always been the most creative one in the family. (He got it from me, of course. ) When he was 3 years old he made a "stick man" on paper, then used his little scissors to make a cut between the legs and on both sides of the head. He showed me how his stick man could "walk" and "nod his head". This is from a 3-year-old! He just got better from there.
He could fold a piece of paper to make anything his imagination could come up with. But me? Nope, I never got the hang of origami and could barely get a paper airplane to fly anywhere but straight to the floor!

I could give you a thousand links. Pull up your favorite search engine and type in "how to make paper airplanes" or "making paper airplanes". That should help you.

No I cannot even fold a piece of paper straight so I cannot make a paper airplane except if you count the kamikaze ones that dive to the floor or dive into the pool.

All along since i was a kid till now, i can only fold the standard paper plane that can really fly.. lol =D Even if it can fly, it cant fly far too.. lol =D
But wat matters most is the learning process and the patience to learn something.. haha

it's easy to make a paper airplane. you just have to follow every step in creating it. while making your paper airplane, you will realize you are beginning to enjoy its directions. it's challenging too because you can make mistakes sometimes then you need to repeat your steps. with that, you will learn how to be patient, imaginative, and creative.

Lol - I used to make paper aeroplanes all the time when I was a kid but not made one in years. They were nothing much though - just the usual fold paper in half once and then fold two wings in!! x

i can only make the simplest one. because when i was young i immediately turned from making paper airplanes to kite-flying. i was a very active kid by then that outdoor games are more appealing for me. But it won't show now because i'm not engaged into any sports, my dark skin then had gone too.
It surely is better than kicking soccer ball against the wall but i think it's best if your son would grow playing soccer than those paper planes.

He's a pretty well rounded kid, he can do lots of things, I'll be surprised if he anchors to one thing.
