Nice post! I am muslim too as you know my friend.
I see sooo many really hateful and judgmental, mostly incorrect things here on Mylot about muslims and Islam. And the thing is people don't ask questions they state things like facts which are completely wrong.
I was wondering if I could ask you personally a question. I know you converted to Islam a few years now (from a previous discussion that you posted to). With so many negative stereotypes about Islam, and especially living in America how did you come into the fold of Islam. I'm always fascinated and in awe as I was born into the religion. I saw a post where someone said they didn't know how "people can convert to that religion". If it's too personal and you choose not to answer I respect that.

Yes. I have a few friends that are Muslims and there are many Muslim students in my school. What I know about them is that they are people, just like me. Don't need to know anything else. They're people. They're not different from everyone else I know. Their religion choices are their own and from what I've seen so far, help them to be better people.
I sometimes have questions, that I ask any of my Muslim friends. They're happy to answer and explain and I get my answers. I'm a curious person by nature, and I like to understand things.

Hi friend, I am a muslim, i believe you're muslim too. If not why are you asking those questions? Anyway you ask what I know about muslim right? Muslim people are the peaceful people in the world. I have no queation about muslim, I don't know everything about muslims but I need to learn that by reading the Holy Quran.

I am asking these questions as an opportunity to give Dawah. Thats why Im here. To tell the truth about Islam, and make new friends.

I think its a personal preference, and it depends on update how.
Most of the society is negative.
The attitudes of people the morals, their entertainment.
As Muslims are first priority is to please God, if it pleases ourselves too , than even better.
I consider myself contemporary as far as fashion goes.
But I often wonder if I am dis-pleasing God to please myself.
I live in America, Im American so that is a big difference.
Most Muslims follow their culture as well as their religion.
Sometimes they go together, sometimes they conflict.
