Do you spell correctly on the Internet?

I have made it a point, no, my calling card, recently to spell, punctuate, and use correct syntax while I am typing on the computer, no matter what I am doing. Whether it be online gaming, composing a document for a class assignment, chatting online with my friends via instant messenger, or posting here on MyLot, I always write how I would normally.
In this day and age, I find it frankly disgusting how the common English language, which is already one of the most confusing and screwy languages out there, is being stripped of any sense of formality by the Internet, with a plethora of LOLs and WTFs and "dude wut r u doin"s invading our minds. Now, don't get me wrong, I enjoy a good OMGWTFLOLBBQHAX as much as the next guy, possibly even more, but really, people. It has a time and a place, and should probably be best left to the boards of 4chan when it comes down to it.
So, what does everyone else think about this? Do you spell correctly and use correct grammar on the Internet? I'm interested to see who agrees with me on this.

spelling correctly is a good habit. i think it's a best way to communicate on the internet. it can minimize others' misunderstanding. i also try to spell as correctly as i can. i just use the common "intentionally wrong spelling" like lol, thx, omg.

I almost always spell correctly on the internet. Internet lingo, although amusing at times, just starts to sound ignorant after a little while. It annoys me that leet speak is seen as being cool and not just funny. I think it's ridiculous and a bit harder to read. That's just my opinion. If other people think it's cool that's ok. They are entitled to their opinion too.
