why is it that most internet sites you get forwarded to are full of spam and crappy advertisements? can any one tell me how to stop this happening?

Its not impossible for you to get rid of SPAM and its not impossible for the SPAMMER to SPAM you. But you can stop them at some extent. You must not give your mail address to anonymous websites, and unknown person. This is the way how they get your mail ID and send you lots of spam. You must be careful while filling forms. Make a separate mail address to give it for several unknown and untrusted organizations like webhosts etc etc they sell your email address do you know that?
