New Pet

Just last week I got a new pet mouse! I adopted him from a local rodent rescue group. I named him Ianto. He's just an absolute sweetie, and I love him so much! I've had other pet rodents in the past, but this is my first mouse. So far he's been such a wonderful pet! I've attached a photo of him! Isn't he just so cute?
What kind of pets do you have?

I love rodents.
I have 4 rats, and 2 mice!
Your mouse is SO cute.
Just a suggestion, most rodents, including mice, don't like to live alone. I would think about getting another mouse so he can have a snuggle buddy. They tend to get depressed when they live by themselves.

Female mice do better in groups, but male mice cannot live with other mice. They're aggressive and territorial.

When I adopted him, I signed a contract with the rescue group saying I would abide by their guidelines and keep him housed alone. So even if I wanted to, I couldn't get another mouse for him to be with. All of the rodent experts in the rescue group have expressed many times that male mice cannot live with other male mice. I also work in a pet store, and the trained pet care specialists at work also say that male mice cannot live with other male mice.

Male mice can live with other males if you introduce them properly.
Like with any rodent, sometimes it doesn't work out.
It would just depend if you wanted to take the time to try.

Awwww that's the cutest rodent I had ever seen, love it while its cute because when they get older they lose their cuteness.

He's already a full grown adult mouse. He's not really going to change at all as far as size or cuteness :)

Oh what a cutie! How wonderful of you to adopt a mouse in need.
I have 2 rabbits and 3 finches currently. My pair of foster guinea pigs just got adopted.
Unfortunately, some other fosters I had are now being returned. A lot of returns in the summer. People go on vacation and suddenly adopters that seemed great no longer want pets.

Well lets see Ive got a dog, two cats, a ferret, a bunny, many fish and the newest a baby raccoon. Yes we got our own mini zoo started lol.

He's so cute. I've had plenty of mice but not as pets (I've had a few snakes 
). I've played with them and they seem like they'd be good pets. I've had gebils and they make good pets too.

u know usually I don't like rodents, btu I have to admit...that is the cutest thing I have ever seen lol :) so adorable!! I have a cat myself, and a dog that lives at my mothers :)
