Hanging up first...

When talking to friends or family, I hate to be the person hanging up first. I worry that the other person will think of something else to say and I'd have hung up on them. I tend to wait to hang up the phone until i hear the other person hang up...or I have a couple friends that are like me and we count to three and hang up at the same time.
How do you feel about hanging up first?

I do not care if I am the first to hangup, but I will always wait until I say bye,and the person I am talking to says bye,so that way I know the conversation is over ,and that they have nothing else to say.

i think its about wrapping up the conversation, when I am on the phone to my friend who lives away, we are always in the middle of something and one of us gets called away or we get distracted. so we say bye and ring each other up about four times to complete a conversation!
But were my family are concerned that one is easy if they ring me then the conversation only lasts two minutes.
If its me ringing family then we talk for ages. I get cheaper calls.
I dont mind who puts the phone down.

I dont have a problem with hanging up first, I just make sure we both say bye and that's kinda conclusive that it's the end of the conversation. If they have something else to say that is imporant enough they will call back!

I'm the same! I hate hanging up first because on several occasions the other person was trying to say something and I accidentally hung on them. I felt so bad. I usually wait for the other person to hang up first as well, but sometimes they do the same thing so we end up just awkwardly just waiting. Haha. I like your idea of counting to three though. I should try that out sometime.
