what are your views about the new runescape graphics?

i think they look simply awesome! i v just seen the preview since hte beta is only for the members, and i must say they look superb.
and i v just checked out the new character models in the f2p play, they look pretty nice too. some other noticible changes are walking/running animations, emote animations (jig emote looks sweet lol), the new ranging animation (but they still overlooked the fact that the character is right handed when fighting with a sword but left handed when using a bow, the character should hold the bow in the left hand if it is right handed, but oh well), and change in the looks items.
there are still some issues with the animation, i notice that when my character died or i did some emotes like leap in air or laugh, the belly of my character appeared to be pointing out (the character is a female and wearing a d hide armour). but i am sure they ll be fixin' it sooner or later.
i am really looking forward to play on high definition! but still dont know when will it be available... so what do u think about this update? and does anyone know when will the beta period end and the update is fully available for the f2p?

I love the new graphics. Last night I did my usual Round The globe in 60 Minutes ruteine working on various skills & was thoroughly impressed. All the world has been updated nicely. The new main page looks awsome. I even like the full helms now, they used to look lame. They did a really good job.
My daughter even had me naming the town they showed durin the load page...

ah i was watiing for ur response! so the update is really good.
there are still some glitches on the characters on the f2p. i noticed a few more things, my combat hood looks like a druid hood when it is equipped in the f2p and my rune g skirt looks like the ordinary rune skirt =( and what more is that, this is only happening with my character and not all of the players. i v seen other people equipping combat hood and they appear okay.
well, this is just a minor fault and i know they ll correct it. good to see a thumbs up from u on this update, looking forward for the full release of the new graphics!

Well here i go, Ive been playing runescape for five years ( i know i have no life ) anyways i think what jagex did is e3 material oh and they're going to be a e3 to get more coverage on the game so that probably means more server space anyways the helmets now are kinda big but that really doesnt bother me what bothers me is the new players who signed up from like a year ago are complaning about the new update and they're saying that they want it back to the way it was it lags too much blah, you can change the settings in the pannel, they would know that if they read instead of complaining all the time, anyways i really thank jagex for this update they had to redo all the NPC's and..thousands of textures they've had the idea for quite some time now, its been 10 months since the start of this project actually and im pretty sure jagex's team has doubled and tripled after this great effort for runescape i just think everyone should be grateful for one of the best brower based MMO's out there and stop complaining and comparing the graphics to WoW ( world of warcraft ) i mean its not really fair comparing this game to a hardcore console game with the graphics and Blizzard to back up their theory.

The new graphics are great, love the beta right now, and can't wait for the final version. I do hope they fix a few things, one thing being the look of the d'hide armor, if you haven't seen it, it shows part of your skin, not a big deal really, but, i find it rather, lame looking, you can compensate by getting trimmed, but since no one sells it, you have to live with the regular, but overall, great update, the fullscreen mode is awesome, they ever put anti aliasing, that is just awesome, it makes the game look so much better. In conclusion, good job Jagex, you actually did a good update(unusual to say the least) but you still need to bring classic back cause i feel that classic still looked better, in my opinion, don't flame me.

wow! totally agree with you. and i v done some simple programming too and believe me it's time consuming and some tough work. did know that 10 months have been spent on this project. and i think it's a job very well done by jagex.
i was talking to a member friend of mine today when i was playing and asked her how she finds the new graphics and she was complaining about lags as well. well who knows it might be cause of the server (jagex still might need to improve things to provide better service) or cause of the user's system. but i hope that it was just her computer!
and runescape WAS superb and IS still a superb game and people forget that it's based on JAVA. they've done a helluva job. it's pretty unfair to compare it with WoW or Guild Wars. they might be good games in their own respect (i v not played either of them).

I tthe new jig emote, we no longer look like were having a musscle spazam when we dance. My favorite of the new graphics is the way the water now sparkles and shimmers and how no one body of water can be compared to another. They are all diffrent now in their own special way.

I'm considering paying for a month of Runescape through Paypal once I get the money from myLot, and the new graphical improvements are one reason why, but I honestly got bored of Runescape years ago. I keep checking up on it every week or so, though, because they always update the Members version and I always have people trying to send me messages on there. (I made some Runescape movies for Newgrounds a while back.) Anyway, I think the improvements are just that, improvements.

Other than a few glitches I LOVE the new update. My interest in RuneScape was dying away until this happened. Now I just get on to fish, just because of the update. I've only found a few things wrong with the update so far:
-People go through capes while fishing
-Tree shadows don't disappear after the tree is cut down
