I read entertainment news first, and then international and national news. If I have spare time, I would also read local news. But I usually skip sports coz I've never been a sport fan.

I usually read the first page because it usually carry the most important news. From there I'll read the sports page and go to business page. All other sections come later if I have time.

During the week I start by reading the leading sports story on the back page, then I read the paper from the front page all the way through. On Sundays, however, when the paper comes into six or seven sections plus a magazine, I read the Sports Section first, then the main News section, then the Business News. The really interesting thing about how we read the newspapers is of course tied up with the question of how we get our news. In the old days, news was very much the preserve of the printed word, with radio as the second string, so to speak. Today things have been turned upside down, so that we get NEWS in real time on the internet, or the Blackberry or even the mobile phone, complete with pictures, closely followed by television news, so we have become accustomed to what we could call televisual news. That means that when we read our newspapers these days, we are really looking nor so much for news, per se, but much more for the informed point of view of the columnists who try to make sense of the news we all heard and saw the night before.

I usually start from the Style/Arts section in the Washington Post. Then, I'll go around looking for articles that catch my eye in the main section or Metro area, and work my way around from there. Usually I'm pretty happy just with Style, though.

I used to alsoread the sports section, However now I read the first page i.e headlines and move on from page 1 to page 2 and so on. I invariably read the trivia last.

I start with the front page and read all the stories I'm interested in that section. Then I go to the next section and do the same thing until I'm done with the entire paper. Works for me. Ten years ago I would start with Pink Section, or entertainment section of the Sunday SF Chronicle. Somewhere along the line I gave that habit up.

I read the state and metro section. I like finding out whats happening throughout the state...new laws ...criminal happenings etc. I don't read the sports until football season and the Minnesota Vikings are playing! After the state and metro....I read the front page!

Hi I browse all the headlines from the first page to the last and then read only those I have interest. Then read the special features on the supplement pages. I do not spend much time to read news papers because I watch the television news also.
