The Pajama Game

Here I sit. The time is 10.05 am and I have been around the screen since 8 am. I am yet to shower and dress. My pajamas are, not for the first time during the day in the last few months, still on me and I am reluctant to move. Do you spend hours sitting on the computer, especially myLot, in your nightwear?

I spend days at a time without any clothes on! Day clothes that is! If I am not going out I don't see the need for getting changes twice a day as it is painful for me so I change my pjs when I have bathed and that is it! lol I once made my baby brother fall off his chair as he assumed I was in my pjs and couldn't believe it when he realised I was dressed although I wasn't going out! lol xxx

Mo Mo, if I know I am not going out or tht I do not have a customer coming over I might might at least throw on a tee shirt and a pair of shorts, wash my face in a bit of witch hazel and tie my hair up, and call my self dressed for the day LMAO :))) Why get all dress when you know you ain't going nowhere and no one is gonna have a peak at ya?

For 33 years I too was at work by 8.30, usually before. Now I don't have to. Bliss!

Months of mental illness followed by a sudden realisation that there is more to life than doing something that no longer gives you any satisfaction and working for people who don't care. I'm poorer financially, but much much happier.

I used to do that when I first started mylotting....and when my husband was travelling on work. When he's home I usually get up and shower first and then get to my work at home till he leaves and then I mylot. But when he isn't in town...who cares if the house is neat or if I've cooked something lavish...so I don't bother and sometimes I am in my night dress well into the morning....on myLot. But now I've started work, I can't afford to do that....and I'm out the door just as my husband wakes up.

Yes, I know what you mean. I used to feel the same way too. But now I'm glad that's not the case. I was too addicted to mylot and didn't care about anything else till half the day was gone.

I do feel slovenly not getting dressed until half the day has passed. But I am increasingly relieved that it's not just me!

Only 10:05 AM you say? Aww that is nothing at all my dear pike, I have been known to sit here in Pj's or night shirt until well into the evening when it is time to get into bed attire. Not to fret really. Actually my husband likes coming home on occasion to find me still in nightshirt :))) As I am sure your wifey likes to find you too!

Just relax I'm sure you have had your days of poping out of bed and making sure you're dressed and ready for the day. You deserve a little R and R.

I love my PJs Bella. Trouble is that they make me very lazy. You have your children too to help you along. Most days it's only me, at least during the week. I feel that I should be more disciplined.

Here I thought I was the only one that did that..I am sitting here now with my jammies on. That has a bear on the front that says I need a hug. I will put on my jammies early to get comfortable and stay on the computer for half the night into the morning then go to bed get up get on the computer to see what my daily earnings are and then before I know it I have spent half the day in front of my computer withmy jammies on. It is a habit I need to break.

LOL. Me too. I do the same, although I am quite good at going to bed at a sensible hour - except for last night when it was 2.45! It's 9.55 am now and I'm back again. Cute jammies with the bear though. I'm sending you a cyber hug!

of course. If i am home, i put on my jammies and never look back. what is better then to be at home in your jammies, with your computer and all of your mylot friends. i only get up if i really really have too. i love to be home relaxing in with my tee shirt and jammie shorts.

I suppose that it is. For me though, it seems very lazy to not get showered and dressed until lunchtime. I'm lying, dressed, on the bed now as I type this. Good job it's raining. I should be in the garden.

Haven't you learned yet mate...PJs are out...just wear your day clothes to bed, get up, wash your face and brush your teeth and sit at the computer...et voila! All dressed and ready for a new day. Just have a tub and change clothes every 2 weeks whether you need to or not. Hugs to you.

Ouchy...if they have gone crusty, you need to soak in the tub for a few hours. It's a good chance to catch up on some reading. Just throw some laundry detergent into the tub and agitate every once in a while. The clothing will eventually come loose. As for the smell, you're English....so yes, it's normal..... There's always deodorant if it bothers you. Your chemist will be able to explain how to use it. (oooh, I'm bad today)

It's very rare that we don't have guests, so once I've got the keys in the front door I need to be decent as I may have virtual strangers wandering in at any moment. My nightwear is certainly not suitable for general viewing *ahem* hence I dress as soon as I'm out of bed. I do however spend long periods stuck infront of the computer when I really should be doing other things. I get bored of myLot after a while, but then I start playing Mahjong, and I'd probably play and play if someone didn't force me off occassionally.

I couldn't cope with people around me all the time. My daughter's friends are here all the time too. If I'm in my pyjamas then they just have to lump it. Although I have had to be told to stop flashing occasionally! I spend too long here too. There is a remedy; it's called a power cut!

You could make yourself a generator for those power cut emergencies out of a push bike and an old car alternator. It would give you enough electricity to power a laptop, and you could stay fit into the bargain!

Yup, that's why I had to "force" myself to shower and change my clothes my starting the computer...if not, I'd sit there the whole day, even forgot my breakfast and lunch, until my stomach starts to growl!

If I am home by myself, I will sometimes come in the den, boot up my laptop and compute without changing bed clothes.I wear a gown, though, not pajamas. But,this summer,we have two grandsons here,so I always get up and put on my slacks and a shirt. But I still may come in here and read emails, surf, etc., until they get up and I have to cook breakfast.With there sleeping habits, that may be way up in the morning.

I have those delights to come Barb. Right now my daughter is 19 and tends to sleep so late that I am thinking of going to bed as she is getting up! LOL.

You sound like my daughter when she is home on the weekends from work and her two older teenagers are home and have nothing to do. Her 19 1/2 year old son would sleep all day! But then, he's up bright and early on Monday morning for work.
2 Jul 08
I wear the emperors new pyjamas... I sleep naked! Always have and always will... Of course when my daughter is around I have to cover up, but otherwise prefer not to unless it is really cold, then a dressing gown when I get out of bed is all...

I don't spend a single minute infront of the computer in my nightwear, because I do not have inernet access at home. I take my computer to the local cafe, where I spend my days on line using the inexpensive wireless otspot they provide.

This scene sound so familar, in fact today I am already bathed and dressed as have to go into work early for a training session but usually I would be like you sitting here initally for my two cups of tea to start the day intending to get off to do something else and before I know it it is a mad rush to get washed and dressed to get my son off to nursery. This is one of the main reasons I don't have a webcam either! Ellie :D
@p1kef1sh (45681)

That's so famiiar Ellie. Not getting son's off, but doing what I should be doing. Thank heavens that the webcam isn't enabled on here. I'm not a pretty sight! (Ever).

hi pikefish I am in my nightie and typing away, why, because with the shingles in the worst possible places like under the edgeof my bra and the top of my panties they hurt, like ouch ouch ouch ouch!!!so I am wearing my loosest nightie and praying that they will soon leave me and I can once again get dressed and not hurt. I mean one cannot go out in public clad in only a flimsy nightie, and I am really getting cabin fever. so I see my doctor Monday and maybe he can help me to finally get rid of my shingles. lol
@p1kef1sh (45681)
2 Jul 08
Are they still bothering you Hatley. That must be so depressing. I do hope that your doctor can help. Perhaps a loose cotton summer dress might help when you go out. Heck, what do I know! LOL.

I don't have too much to say every day; unless is about the salvation and the Lord ways. But even with that, I must find work; that's my priority this days; an with the lord at my side, I will be at work one of this days.

I do get up early in the morning sometimes ..and i mean early..say five o clock and decide to go down and have a cuppa,and maybe a biccy...and often I will put my pc on,to look at the posts or look at the emails etc..but then after an hour or so I start to feel sleepy again so I trot back upstairs and get back into bed...but no I dont stay in my pyjamas in the morning and tap away..the temptation would be great,but the outcome would be that nothing gets done for the rest of the morning and that would bug the hell out of me!!
@p1kef1sh (45681)

I usually get out o bed when the Boss goes to work around 7. If I'm not careful I don't eat my cornflakes until 9ish and don't get dressed until 11! That's truly slothful. But fun too.
