Hi everyone, I am from Malaysia and started using Maxis Broadband service because there is no telephone line in my area (newly shifted). Previously I was using Streamyx (main ISP here).
I took the 3.4mbps package and understood that it depends on places to get full connectivity but I was shocked when the first time I used it at my home where I was only getting max 500-800Kbps only!
It is very slow and frustating using this broadband service but I have no other option and can't live without an internet.
The broadband services here are still very bad although provided by a few well-known coorperations such as Maxis, Celcom and Digi. How is it in your country?
Any Malaysians having the same problem? Please share your thoughts and give me some ideas to improve this connectivity.
Thank you and happy posting!

One of the governor have complain it,
but no improvement yet.

Sorry to that. But as a consumer, it is your right to have the service you paid for. 500-800kpbs is a tad too slow compared to what your package should have. Hopefully you provider would give you better options.
Here in the Philippines, there definitely are places where internet providers can't really provide better service and even the basic services the consumer is purchasing. Needless to say, to be fair with the ISPs, they won't all be perfect. At some point their service (may it be the internet service or after sales support) may be poor.
Are there other ISPs aside from the one you have or do you really have no other provider to go to? Talk to your provider and get options. Take care!

The problem is there are no other options for me and as for meeting my ISP company I am going to do it this weekend for sure!
