I clean houses for a living and the biggest complaints I ever hear is about windows. Most people love to have their windows clean. I know I sure do. So we, my daughter and I, clean a lot of windows everyday. We don't use windex or any product specifically for windows. We use a mixture of water and vinegar as it does to a better job on glass. Some people use it on mirrors too, but I don't like it for mirrors. But it does work good on glass. We clean a lot of patio doors too and it works really good on those too, even the metal parts of the doors come clean with it.

hey I have dirty window, would you like to come over and do mine? I would love to have somebody do them for me, I have a hard time doing any housework now, with my constant pain especially my sore back.

I like clean windows too, and actually cleaning windows is something I don't mind at all doing:)
So are you almost ready with the moving? WHen are you going to the new place?
Please don't overdo it, you are still in recovery.
Big hug:)

I love having clean windows and I always used to do them myself but now I can't and they aren't done as often as I would like - especially since the cat jumps in and out my small window at the top and instead of jumping down she'll slide down the glass and get it all dirty! lol xxx

Oh yes!!! I must have clean windows. Especially in my cars.... I will go batty with dirty car windows. I love sparkling windows around my house as well. I want there to be nothing getting in my way of seeing outside.
My husband teases me that this is one of my obsessions because I can't even stand the slightest smudge on a pair of sunglasses. I think that obsession is too strong a word.

Congratulations on your new place, Terry! :)
I am not a fan of a lot of windows unless the view is great. Plus here in the city, you can look forward to cleaning them every two weeks if you happen to live near a major road... It seem like soot and dust just live for the opportunity to put me to work! LOL! :)

I hate cleaning windows, they never come up clean for me, they always look smeary and probably look as bad as they were before I made a start on them. The worst windows for me is car windows! They are always filthy dirty and no matter how hard I clean them, they still look horribly smeary and marked! especially when the sun shines on them. I would hate to be a window cleaner, I dread cleaning windows because I just don't have the knack, some people say that vinegar is good for them, I can still smear windows with that, windows are great to have but as you said as long as there's not a lot of them!

I always think it's cloudy in this room. This is my smoking room and the window is filthy right now. Haven't been able to clean it because all of the rain we've been having. A few years ago we had the house sided and new window replacements. The new windows tilt in for easy cleaning. It's like a dream to clean them. Easy, fast and that's just my cup of tea! The windows aren't bad in the rest of the rooms but could use a good cleaning again.

Yep I sure do Terry, I take care of the inside of my windows, and the guys do the outside for me as they are harder to reach. They get done about every 6 months. So you found a nice place? If you have posted it already I might have missed it.

Oh I'm so with you on this Terry! lol I moved in this house 6 months before my hubby did because he was still in the Army in Arkansas and I painted the whole house by myself, upstairs and down. I've cleaned the windows downstairs and most of them outside but not all and none of the ones upstairs and I was going to do them while doing my spring cleaning but didn't get that far then my mom went down with a stroke, that was the end of that idea. Maybe in the fall when it's cooler, I'll try doing them then. I heard that it's best to clean windows first thing in the morning before the sun is up or after the sun is down because the sun causes streaks. Now a professional window cleaner said that so I'm going to take that info to heart and try it out for one will never know unless they try it out for themselves!

Terry, Terry, Terry,....I had to go into your discussions to read about your new move. I haven't been around alot which I'm sure you know, haha. So, do you like your new home?...Is it an apartment or a house?...Is it what you want?...I'm so excited for you, hahaha. I'm still in the process of looking and it's really been rough for me. I hope you're as happy as a lark!. Do you have a nice view for your nice clean windows (when you get to them)?.....That's just great Terry, and I hope you're very happy there. xxxooo just me.

I'm a clean freak, so dirty windows are a no no. I'd help you clean them if I could.
