I'm in love with my butcher

Yesterday I went to see the other love of my life, my butcher. This is the first butcher that I ever went to, and he has been more than efficient. His prices are extremely competive, the cuts are amazing, and he's an all around cool guy. I went in just for some lamb chops. We are between pay days and our wallet is a little light these days. The man started wheeling and dealing and before you know it I walked out of there with six lbs of short ribs, one and a half lbs of lamb chops and three ribeye steaks roughly a lb each. I think I have an addiction. I also got the ribs on credit because of my monetary situation. Does anyone else do this? Is anyone else a fresh cut fanatic? Should I enter a twelve step program?

We only go to the butcher on special occasions. I know the meat is fresher and better, but it costs to much more. We go to the butcher maybe 3 or 4 times a year when we want a really, really nice cut of meat.

I think I just got lucky with the butcher being cheaper than the regular grocery store. I'm sure after he gets more popular the prices will go up.

I have never been to a real butcher. I do not know of any around here. There is a place by where I used to live that was like a butcher shop. You could get packages of meat. Meaning you would get so many pounds of this, this, and this for a set price. I always meant to go in there, but I never did.

First I don't like me meat, but we don't have butchers around my area. I think it would be neat to get to deal with one at least once.
