I always find that men have a lot of problems talking about they're feelings its as if they're ego takes a blow if they talk to you about what hurts them.I believe that a man who cries is not a whimp but a man with courage its not easy to show you're feelings i am aware of that but it just seems that its the men that have the hardest time. What do you think ego or just being protective to not get hurt ?

I really believe many men were taught as a little boy that they should not cry or show much emotion. Parents allow their girls to cry and show much emotions, but they want their boys to be strong and not be a whimp. Unfortunately, the men grow up feeling that they should just keep their feelings inside. So I don't think it is ego, but for some men they are protecting themselves (and some are holding back so they won't be embarrassed). I have someone who is very close to me and on the outside they act so strong, etc.. but when times got rough he broke down and cried. He felt embarrassed and apologized. If anyone that knows him found out - they would be shocked. But boys/men are human just like girls/women, so why can't they express themselves and not be looked upon as weak or whimpy?

i absolutely agree men/boys should show they're feelings,i've seen more than one man cry but not often and it was always the person that i less expected to see cry. Most of the time men's pain comes out through anger, well thats what i find anyway. Thanks for giving your point of view !
