The internet -- it has brought cultures and people around the world closer together, and provides instantaneous information-gathering. You can learn about so many things in so little time. Unfortunately..it's changed my life in a negative way, in regard to social relationships and going to the library. Email and IM are now more common, especially MySpace, where you don't have real friendships. And I hardly ever use the library to find real books.

I think that must be the Computer.

For me, it would have to be cars. Can you imagine life without motor transportation?
