hi guys. a few days ago i posted that i will be having a final interview for a job. well i passed. i got the job i want. here is my problem. the company requires a lot of clearance and medical test to know if i'm fit to work. i've already accomplished getting a copy of my birth certificate, police clearance, residential clearance, school clearance. the good thing is a have a friend dentist who is willing to permanently fill my 3 teeth for free. i'm done with the chest xray, blood test, urine test. after going through the hassles of getting all of this sorts, right now i'm broke. lol. and i thought i'm done. i realize that i missed one thing, getting a Hepa-profile. I thought it was included on the blood test. and it cost a lot, actually more expensive than all of the requirements i've accomplished and have gotten combined. getting a job right now is hard. and when you thought you have the job, you are already meeting the deadline before you even started. lol. have a good day everyone

Wow i don't think that someone had to give that much of clearance to get a job. Its sad that a company wants so many details even after you have got the qualifications to get the job. anyways good luck to u in your career

Wow, i'm also currently accomplishing my pre employment requirements and they're a lot of them. It's the part of getting a job that i really don't like. But i think for the medical examinations the company will be shouldering the cost right? it was for my case. Well good luck in your new job

Goodness, you certainly had to go through a lot of things to start your job, neilchua! The good thing is, with all those medical checks you know you're nice and healthy! (I wish I had a friend who was a dentist!) I hope the new job is an enjoyable one, and that you soon manage to save some money to make up for all the expense. Good luck!

well, that's the cost you have to pay in having a job (a good one, something you want), at least you know that you're healthy and you have no health problems at all... hope your job will give you fulfillment and achievements in life... Godbless!
