This is about Metallica's new album death magnetic. Who thinks it is actually going to be a decent album? I think that it will be better than there last few albums but still not like they used to have it. At least they're trying and not breaking up. Anyone have any comments?

i believe that sometimes it's better for the band to break up while they're still decent instead staying together until they spiral downward into the abyss of sucktitude that metallica is already in. besides, everytime they come out with a new album, they always say that it's gonna be like the old ones and that the old school fans are gonna love it and it just ends up sucking a little harder than the last album they put out. however st. anger was really bad so maybe they can only go up from there.

No truer words ever has been spoken/written. DM by default has to be better than St Anger.
However i haven't fully placed Metallica in the "abyss of sucktitude" section just yet. When Load/reLoad came out i definitely didn't like them but i grew to enjoy the departure from the "old" Metallica. With only one true fail on their resume, i think Metallica is safe from sucktitude.

well, they said that their gonna try to make it like their older albums, my friend said he heard a sample of one of their songs on the radio and it sounded good like their older albums. And it's taken a long time for them to make this album, they took there time, it should be pretty good.

Yeah I hope so. I'm a huge fan but I just can't listen to their newer albums.
