Cost of Living

My family and I just had this same discussion, about how everything is going up and how most people don't get a cost of living raise to match the rising prices. The minimum wage finally went up after years of being stuck at $5.25/hourly to $7.15 (here in PA anyway), but it might as well be the same! There are so many people that work and have to make sacrifices, like no health insurance for their family and yet they are told they make maybe a few dollars too much to get any type of assistance. Today I participated in a letter campaign to my state's politicians to keep senior's benefits from being cut, and am going to seek out more to take part in for anything that has to do with benefits, high prices, and anything else that might help!

here in my country Philippines respectively, almost everyday or every other day the price of gasoline increases. Within this month of july the oil retailers had already cited their series of price increase... In other, Rice also here had bursts its price up up up ... Because there is only little amount of rice harvested in our country in able to supply all of the people here. Way back then Philippines used to be exporters of rice to nearby countries because of its abundance on the said product. But these days, it seemed to twist from the top going to the bottom. Because our country now is importing rice from the nearby countries. It is because of what they say "Rice shortage", but some says somebody just hide it enable them to sell it for higher price... If this is true hope somebody can find it out... But i think its very difficult,because they also says that there are big politicians and powerful people behind the rice shortage...
