Do you take the time to read other's responses to discussions?

Often when I am on this site, I feel pressed for time. There is so much to choose from to do. I confess, also, that I do consider the big bucks I am earning as I post answers. For those reasons I often skip reading other's answers to a discussion I am posting to. (Especially if there are a lot of answers!) How about you? Do you take the time to read anyone else's responses to a discussion before you post your answer?

I do sometimes if there are not too many but other times I use
the time to do other things and make more responses. I never read
'all of them if there are very many just a few but I do rate all'
of them so we can have more postives going on.

I get frustrated when I rate and answer and it goes back to the top. Then I have to scroll down again to respond to it!

it depends sometimes i do if it is maybe one or two but if it is more than that i just respond. honestly you have to work so hard to make the little that you do so it kind of takes time if we read all the responses that there are.

That's why I don't usually take the time to read the responses. Thanks for the reply.

Sometimes....most of the time I answer directly from my email link unless the discussion indicates that there is a posted photo involved, so naturally then want to see what the photo looks like. Usually I'll look at other responses after I've done mine, since sometimes there's something I want to respond to by another responder and add what they are saying.

I try to read a few of the respnses after my response
has been posted due to responding via emails also. But
I also will add a response/comment to another respondees message at times as I did right here.

If the thread is particularly interesting to me, then yes, I'll read a few responses. However, the most common case is that I'll only read other comments if someone replied to my own post. Then I'll go back and glance over what else was said, possibly leave another remark or two before departing for good.

To be honest I just don't read other responses before I created my response. For me it's like copying someone else and posted here just for the sake of getting paid. I only read what the topics are about and I just hit respond button to make my own response. If I were to read someone else response and I want to reply to it I just reply it according what their response is. Lets say if someone say something positive then I would say something like "I could not agree more" or "Exactly that's what I've been thinking about".

Dear friend,
Most of time I do spend bit of time if I get to read those topics I would find interesting and when I go to respond I could see that there is responds the way I also want to respond too. Hence I would search another topic for responding. Also some responds even makes me think or may they are just humorous too. Hence I do read other's responds and discussions if I get bit time. From these we could also enhance our knowledge and could get better suggestions for my own certain situations.

yes, i do read others' discussion as well. it helps you to understand the topic better. also you can sometimes find that people have echoed the same thought that you were about to type. so you just agree with them. after all, you ought to give credit to one who has done that job, who has vividly wrote his thought, the deserving one. happy my lotting and may god give you ample patience to read others' response as well.

I read some of the responses to the discussions that are started here. If there are more than 50 responses, I'll read the first page, about the middle page, and the last page. Then I'll do my own comment.
I pretty much skim the comments to get a general idea of what other member's opinions/statements are. If I catch that someone has made a really good point, I will comment on that, too.

yes, I take time to read them once I have the time to mylot. But some times I think some response don't need to reply. So I don't reply for every response. I see many people are reply one by one. I was so silly, when I just come to mylott, at that time, I just don't know how to reply to the discussions I 've opened. Then I try to find it, it take me a few minutes to see other people who response to their own discussion. Shame of me, that my first time on a english forum.

I really respect you and all the others who have learned other languages besides their native one and can use them to speak, read and write. I find it very difficult to learn another language. You are doing wonderfully and have nothing to be ashamed of!! Thank you for your reply.

I'm the opposite to you, susieq! I haven't the fainest idea how much money I have (and don't have PayPal anyway)- but I'm really interested in people's comments and the things they do in their lives. Especially because there are people from all over the world, and it's fascinating having a view on their country! I definitely read all the comments people make to my own discussions, and appreciate the fact they've gone to the trouble to answer me - but sometimes when I read a question, I get a bit carried away and answer straight away without reading what other people have said - thus, I sometimes look like an eejit when other people have already answered.

You have the right idea. I always read and answer responses to my discussions, too. On others it depends on my mood and amount of time I am willing to spend.

LOLZ at the phrase "big bucks" - you're thinking pennies here! You earn more doing ANY job in the real world (wash dishes, beby sit, walk dog, paper round) So anyone doing this is to my mind a bit crazy!.
