Well....there was an incident that a man was lying on the road.i think he was starving.i was on my bike and .though the people were concerned about that man ...none were doing anything to improve his condition .even i might have done the same thing but dont know what happened to me ,i stopped over there and first of all called ambulance and then gave some water to that person...and made him sit up....and after that i went on my way to my class....
when i told my friends bout this ,they said that i have gone too far in helping him.....
What do you think????is this far enough????

Helping others is always a human obligation, no matter how big or little it maybe. I guess what you have done is not that far as there are many people who even lost their lives while helping others. Just look at the rescue team who are restoring lives in many incidents like calamities, earthquakes, floods and many more. One friend of mine has been disabled because he helped other. My sister-in law was in prison for two weeks because she helped her friend. I guess how you measure it depends on the extent of sacrifice in return of helping others. As for me, how far did I go to help others?? Well, I lost my job... I worked in a Japanese corp for more than 16 years. I had been a labor union leader and helped a lot of fellow workers who were abused, terminated, harassed and even raped. Many of our labor struggles were won through collective effort and support of many active officers and members. In this field, I experienced grave threats which leads me to leave my job for life preservation. But it was never an end but a great beginning. Somehow I always believe that good deeds always come back in 10 folds. Now I am running a homebase business, earning without pressure and the best thing is, I can be with my kids within my working time. Still, I never close my doors from the needy and I always make myself available when there is a need to.

Hi schummi.
How far would I go? I don't really need to go out of my doors to be of help to others, this house is always needing help of some kind.
Catch ya later.
