Whoa!
Bet you thought I was going to plug some sort of affiliate scheme ot traffic exchange?
Well, it's simpler than that and you don't have to join anything.
Most email clients allow you to put a 'signature' on your emails so every time you email someone or reply they will see your message.
Now that might read 'Your friend Bob Smith' or you could be canny and include your eb address either as a straight url or as a hyperlink in the text.
'Your friend Bob Smith - come see me at xxxx' is a powrful persuader particularly if people see it over and over.
Why not give it a go?
The message at the bottom of my mails reads 'If you like MySpace, you'll LOVE this' and it points to the paying social site that's linked from my profile under Network and be Damned. I'v had loads of signups as a result.

I sent my partner the link to have a look at your discussion. Turns out, he's known about it for awhile, even thought of doing it himself, but never got round to it!!!
You could really personalise it with anything I suppose. I should see if I can set it up on my emails.

i think it's a simple but working idea. i never try this. i don't even make a signature. thx for inspiring us
