Wrestling maniac

Does anyone else have a child that is so completely involved in WWE wrestling? My 10 year old son has got every single wrestler out there. He will sit there sometimes for hours playing out matches with them. But sometimes I wonder if this might be some type of issue as he gets older. What I mean is will this maybe turn him into someone that could be violent? or maybe just someone who can be competitive? Someone please tell me that this is alright. Thanks

My 12 year old son loves wrestling. He knows that it is fake that the moves are scripted but that the wrestlers do get hurt for real sometimes so to never try it at home himself. He loves to play the video games with wrestlers but he does not have any action figures.

I believe my son knows it is all fake and I keep reassure him that it is fake. So call me a worry-wart, but these little things sometimes are what we should really worry about. Thanks for the advice.

I was the same way at 10 years old. Once I got older and realized how its all just a bunch of acting I did not like it no where near as much.

Your fear is something you will have to look at as far as the habits of your own child. Does he commonly get into fights at school? Is he disrectful to you commonly? Is he prone to violence. When I read your post I was remided of me when I was 10. I was a really big wrestling fan. It was just a phase. Now, I can't stand to watch it because I know that is it all just entertainment (and bad entertainment at that!). Don't worry about your son, he will move on to bigger and better things. Maybe even move on to girls! Now, there is something you'll need to worry about!!

Thanks for the insight, kingcrapper. You're right though I should be worried more when it comes to girls.
