how to take caps from a video file..?

hey guys...i know this is really simple but i am not getting it..how can we take captures from a video ??... and please mention the software`s name...if there s a need for it...

use media player classic or bs player ..... u can also use image grabber.........

Microsoft Windows Movie Maker can capture images from video.

You can use Media Player Classic, you can find it in "Storm Codec" once you installed that codec you can use this media player classic to view video files and you can even take screenshots from it. if you want to edit/retouch the screenshot images, you may use Adobe Photoshop, it's the best graphic software !!
