I just saw on tv that somewhere they have a stone skipping contest and the skips to beat are 51 skips! I can not imagine 51 skips. Have you ever skipped stones? I have gotten as high as 5 skips. xoxoxoxo

I've done 7, but it takes a lot of speed, a good stone, a good spin and the right angle - and enough space!

I have NEVER been able to make a stone skip - not even one little skip! I weven tried talking to it nicely before I threw it but no good came of it! lol 5 seems miraculous to me and 51 just seems an absolutely mind boggling number! xxx

I grew up near lake erie where skipping stones is a way of life. I've probably skipped a stone 4 or 5 times, my dad could probably do it more, but I cant imagine 51 skips that is amazing!!

I have not skipped stones in ages. Hubby periodically shows the youngsters in our lives how, and I know he gets five or six skips. I am sure I do not as I am very uncoordinated. I cannot fathom a stone skipping fifty one times. Where is this contest anyhow?
