Hi all, I'm involved in a project developing training for those aged 50+ based around technology. I've already arranged various introduction to computers courses and am now investigating other possibilities - do older folks need help learning about other technologies - maybe mobile/cell phones - or maybe there are other computer related items they are interested in?

What you are planning is definitely perfect for the elderly to cope with the latest trend in technology. However, I would say that a course on how to use a cell phone is not very much relevant to the elderly nowadays. With the availability of cell phones for seniors like Just5 phone, it is no longer a tough thing for them to learn how to manipulate the phone.
The truth is that my 68 years old father has easily learned how to use Just5 phone since it is perfectly designed to provide the old folks with an excellent convenience when it comes to using this stuff. He barely spent just two hours in mastering its functionalities and features. I believe that what you need to do is to promote he usage of cell phones for seniors for the old folks particularly Just5 phone.
