Optimizing website

I have a website I am trying to drive traffic to and was wondering if anyone knows how to do this.
I have registered with google and yahoo, but I am not getting much traffic any suggestions?

Yes its very difficult to get traffic into your site unless you spend some money. I think you need to try to optimize your website with premium optimising sites.
